exit consoles on affiliate delivered traffic

Is it unfair for a paysite to pop an exit console to another site, without carrying over your refid? In this case the paysite pops 2 exit consoles to other paysites sites within that niche, which affiliates like myself would probably be promoting anyway. Because there's no refid on those 2 pops, I lose the potential payouts on those sales. It's free traffic for those sites.

In this case it's ok, I emailed the program webmaster and he has disabled the exit consoles for my refid. He's the man! Just curious what your thoughts are generally on this issue...

Unfair? lol, this is business, who cares about fair.

Personally I'd never promote a partnership program that uses popups I don't get credit for, and it really suprises me that anyone would.

If you're talking about a pay per signup program, most of them have to make money from the consoles to cover what they're paying you per trial join. If it was a PPS program and they turned consoles off, either they're really good guys, you send them a ton of traffic, or they turned the shave machine up a notch on your accont to make up the difference.
