what you need is LifeTime RevShare with a program that converts clients for Life then every new member is more profitable.

35% OK with you guys?

james_clickmemedia 08-25-2010 04:26 AM

revshare has always been a joke for most sites. The only place that revshare makes sense is dating, and solo girl sites where the actual model interacts with the customers which equals longer retention rates.

Revshare is still the way to go.. Sponsors with crazy PPS can't keep it going forever. Revshare is payed with existing money.

Remember the webmasters are just as eager to keep the users rebilling as the affiliate. So we work hard for those rebills!

I have seen a ton of PPS programs but hardly any revshare programs. Unless you mean a PPS proggy that also offers revshare.

If not then can you list some revshare only programs that have gone under recently. Thx.

TeenCat 08-25-2010 05:28 AM

crap free options are mostly only on revshare, so revshare forever! :thumbsup

We still make a LOT more from rebills a month from our affiliates than we do initial joins.

Affiliates who used to be on PPS with us have switched to revshare because I told them just how well we rebill. Yes that leads to a loss in revenue for us but the way I see it is if the affiliate earns more, they are more likely to push us more and in the long run earn more for both parties involved.

Should a site be guaranteed success just for offering revshare? :error

I think you need to expand that to any site that works hard to land their niche well. Bondage, foot fetish, masturbation(which everyone here thinks is too vanilla but works for me), anything really. Revshare works if the price is right for the customer and the site delivers consistently.

I have sites that go back to 1997 and some customers who have stayed re-billing since then. Now of course they have had to update their CC info with me, and most of those long term were at the annual membership rate of between $59-$99. But not all, some have paid monthly for 5, 6 or 7 years at $30 per. I have affiliates that have made $900 plus per member, but you need trust and patience. Two things I understand aren't easy in this biz.

PPS has its place but it is the model that will suffer the most as we go forward. I don't think it will disappear. At the rate I retain I can do a decent PPS, but the risk for me is higher so I avoid it if possible.

Steady revshare payments from sending 3 weeks traffic to Streamate 12 months ago.

Argos88 08-25-2010 11:00 PM

REVSHARE is a joke now, because many paysite owners piss off their affiliates by STEALING THE MEMBER that is supposed to be 50-50... not 100% of the sponsor..

REVshare did work great in the past tho...

.

BoardiesBitch 08-26-2010 01:46 AM

Revshare is the only way to create a real long term revenue stream - at least for livecams where some guys can spend up to $2.5k a day in private.
PPS will never get you steady incomes...

But obviously you will not see the results in 5 days. It takes at least a month to start to see real good revenues. But once it's rolling, you just need to sit back and watch your account grow...

That said, i'll leave it to the ladies of gfy to wait out the actual ripple effect of what is going on behind the scenes with various big programs, merchant banks, their rebills dying out, processing and what not. It has nothing to do with 'porn is free' or 'people will not pay for porn'. I'll leave it at that. Carry on fine sire.

I have seen a handful of affiliates stats that have had 1 or 2 sales with 10 rebills or more. Like I said before, it depends on your sponsors and if they are keeping their members happy. Naughty America is a good sponsor to promote on rev share. But hey, if you want PPS then by all means. More rebills for us. ;)

Right.

The stuff going on is not a big mystery to most behind the scenes. Especially if you know a few people in processing, and program owners. It is only breaking news to affiliates, and the sheeple. But shhhhhh... don't tell anyone. I am a clueless sigwhoring shill remember? :winkwink:

Sadly, I also know a few people, and a thing or two. Already dropped the hints. This actually is not the worst of it. This is just a taste of things to come. If being an affiliate was my sole revenue stream, I would quickly be looking to diversify.

Tick tock.... :pimp
