:thumbsup I agree with this....doesn't mean that you had to throw up, but it probably didn't sit well with your digestive track :Oh crap

Sucks that happened to you, only had to be rehydrated once before, and it was when I was at my absolute sickest. Hope you didn't wind up spending too much time in the ER to get it done.

hi Shelly! only took about 3 hours, lolz. and yes, it was a pile of fish&chips.

ola amigo, i hear ya. it's pretty amazing how our digestive tracts need to be accustomed to these sorts of foods eh. it says a lot about our diets/foods consumed.

how's the nutrition plan and such going for you these days? :thumbsup

Yeah, I feel ya for sure. I can only do fried foods in very small amounts. Like anything more than a few french fries and I'm done. I'm used to it now, shit's no good for me anyway. I miss getting fish and chips, love malt vinegar, the only thing I can get at a pub is usually the ploughman's platter, that kinda sucks, but so does most english food :1orglaugh

Just started this week and feeling pretty good. Ive not worked out in a couple of months due to various factors but I am back at it this week, its tough to get back into it thats for sure.

Yeah, I have had similar experiences eating fried or greasy foods after eating clean for an extended period of time. I have had my gall bladder removed too so that adds to my inability to digest certain things. (Raw apples and pork are off my menu anymore)

The only other thing I can think of besides that explanation would be that you ingested some form of bacteria along with your fish and chips. Happened to me once with the same results you had. No upset stomach or nausea but, man oh man my poor butt. Ended up in Urgent Care, dehydrated. Of course, I am not a Dr. I only play one on the interwebs :)

Hope you are back to 100% soon!

It's not food if it isn't fried

thank you for the get well sentiments. I hear ya about the bacteria and I REALLY pressed my doctor hard about that, but he's convinced it is due to my consistently eating only healthy, nutritious foods and not being accustomed to fried foods and the superblast mega pile of fish&chips that i devoured.

i want to agree, I was raised on fried foods.

kaori 08-24-2010 11:44 AM

totally... getting older causes it too :)
Had popeye's chicken a few weeks back, boy did I feel miserable.. Had a big batch of onion rings last night... same thing..
Pizza on the weekend, didn't feel so good...

Basically, your body can't break down the grease... Digestive Enzyme tablets can help..
eg: http://www.webbernaturals.com/produc...sp?id=82&cat=6
as does bitter/acidic food - pickles, lemon juice...

Not really ill and not from fried foods. But after eating healthy foods for months I would always feel slightly slow and tired after eating fatty foods.
