Bro, the ocean...just like the porn biz, goes beyond California...
I was thinking we all go to Cancun, or better yet....out of Mexico and onto a tropical island. The Bahamas or Jamaica sound fun!
Or we could all go to Europe...
Just anywhere with a little freedom would be nice!Last edited by Robbie; 08-20-2010, 01:50 PM.-Robbie

and you will like this:
Czech Republic
On December 14, 2009, the Czech Republic adopted a new law that took effect on January 1, 2010, and allows a person to possess up to 15 grams of marijuana or 1.5 grams of heroin without facing criminal charges. These amounts are higher (often many times) than in any other European country, making the Czech Republic the most liberal country in the world when it comes to drug liberalization.[9]Comment

I don't use alcohol or drugs. this is my home and where I work... I'm a sex shooter, if I need to move I'll go somewhere close where the agents can supply the girls. mexico is closer than AZ or NV... the fags are trying just as hard to shut FL down as well. we will probabaly all set up in SD and work in TJ just across the border.Comment

but setting up shop in Mexico doesn't sound very promising either, most things i hear about that place recently are drugs and murder. i could imagine that when the mexicans realize that money can be made that way they might want a share. and it sounds like they don't accept a noComment

Robbie I am one of twelve people on the subcommittee and the policy we come up with has to be effective as the NATIONWIDE policy.Have any of you guys been keeping up with the insanity in California pertaining to the govt. getting ready to REALLY start "regulating" your shoots?
Not only are they talking condom use...but now they are talking about "employee" insurance for the girls AND a "Safety Instuction" manual that will have to be signed on location. AND they are talking about having inspectors come to your shoots to make sure that it is "safe".
The govt. of California is looking to put you guys out of business.
Been following it on a couple of big threads over at Xbiz , and I'm just astounded at the idiocy of the govt. there.
If you are shooting in California and any of these new rules go into effect, you guys are screwed.
I can assure you that anyone who thinks they will be able to produce content, ANYWHERE in the United States that does not follow this policy is sadly mistaken.
Call me and I will fill you in what is really going on, no one else on this board, or any other board is on the subcommittee.Reality TV Star, AVN Hall of Fame, Five-Time XBIZ Winner

If you're looking around for quotes, you're not likely to run into this end of the market. It's all done on recommendation. They don't advertise in Yellow Pages.
Yes it's a rich crowd. The kind of people who go to a wedding planner, church, dress which can cost $5,000, outfits for the bridesmaid, best man, ushers, big reception for 100s, cars, flowers, etc. Even over night hotel stays for some guests. It mounts up fast. This end of the market will and do pay $3,000 and up for a good shooter. Stills and video, arranging lights, getting the sound right, etc. All costs money.
Then there's the "afters" for the shooter. Copies of the prints or video. Nice earner.
The nationalities where it's customary to give the bride and groom money instead of presents. Go for this end if they can afford it. My aunt married a Greek Cypriot and they spent $40,00, according to my father. Big Greek Orthodox church in London, Hotel reception in Central London for what must of been 300 people plus. They walked away with a profit.
About 1975. It was before my first daughter was born in 1977. Shudder to think what it would cost today.
They were dressmakers and invited every single person they knew. Family, friends, business acquaintances. Anyone who would give money and not wanting to be seen pinning a $50 bill to the brides dress.

I'd be real interested in finding out how a subcommittee in California is going to tell me how to do business. Or a guy shooting in tennessee, or texas or anywhere for that matter. I'm thinking that TJ could become a big spot for shooting. Just like it is now a big spot for medical procedures and boob jobs.
I'm guessing you're following the news as these "rules and regulations" are getting schemed up there...what's your general "gut" feeling? Do you think they are really gonna have condoms and goggles on people in a scene to prevent bodily fluids from being exchanged?
I'm just shocked that with the economy falling to pieces...that California is actually trying to destroy one of the little things it has left.
And again...if this goes through, all the girls in L.A. are gonna do is just escort a little more and dance an extra night at the club. Shooting porn is only to get higher prices for themselves dancing and hooking anyway. It's all synergistic for them to make more money in the "real world".
Nothing will change, except Los Angeles won't be making a nice chunk of tax money that it currently does make. The girls will just replace their lost income with tax free cash money from dancing and hooking. And production of porn scenes will simply move to another area.
It's just insanity. It's like California has a financial death wish or something.-Robbie

Just like some digital wedding photographers today who charge over $100,000 per wedding! That's correct. Over $100,000 per wedding and their work from a technical standpoint looks like it was shot by a slide film photographer about 10 years ago!

Our "industry" has much bigger opponents than "homos". Gay production will be hurt even more by these insane regulations. Especially the new ones that would require you to buy insurance against "injuries" which Michael Fatarosi is already saying could be things like anal prolapse.
Well, gay guys do anal in every scene. So these California rules and regulations affect them just as much if not more.
This has nothing to do with homosexuality, and everything to do with religious insane people looking to put you out of business in California.

In my humble opinion...some of the folks in California get a little too full of themselves and they bring the eye of the govt. down on them. Just be careful man. Once you get your name up in front of govt. officials you become the next target.
One good way to do that is to get on a "subcommittee"
You should know from your years of shooting that the best policy is to keep your head low. Once you become a "spokesman" for this business, your days are numbered. I've seen it happen a few times now.-Robbie

Anyone without employees liability and accident insurance is risking a multi million dollar law suit. Model hurts themselves on your shoot, your liable. Just the threat of having to defend it will send most squealing if they don't have insurance.Comment
