This is absolutely correct. However, economy, pirating porn (which ties into this, because, in being less taboo = more pirates as well), card banging assholes/cross sales, has much more to do with shitty sales/etc than anything else. Pirating probably being the worst of it.

Who the fuck is going to pay for any normal / impersonal kind of porn site, when they can get 90% of their favourite scenes with a quick 2 second google search, and a link to the t0rr3nt.
