BTW - do you save $$ buying heineken in bulk like that?

i'm pretty fond of it too.

sambal olek - got to have something to spice things up a bit. saving money in bulk: i guess i must, but honestly i don't keep track.

pasta and brew do go well together, though i've already eaten tonight :glugglug

The only red meat I will eat is t bones, or carne asada in tacos. I live near a kick ass mexican market so we go there often and pick out the best cuts, hell the produce is so fresh we go thereevery couple days for good veggies and meat, its all I eat. Thats how I stay thin. No sugar, no soda. Meat, beer and water and salad. ;)

I use my 'smoker bar b cue' thing at least once a week here holmes.

Ive worked from home for years so, ive gotten used to grilling up shit, and im only cookin for 2 so i dont make much of a mess, and with the smoker the food takes longer so its more of a day of cooking while working, i love it. I got the kick ass patio for friends and shit. I actually like to cook, and as cherry can vouch, nigga can cook.

My personal opinion, for whatever it's worth, is to go with either the NSX or the 911 cab. The rest of those things, with the exception of the 360 which is just way overpriced, are just posermobiles.

you think the 350z is a posermobile? i think it's very near the S2000 in bang for the buck.

SL500, i would say semi-poser (agreed). Sl55 - 495 horsepower, the thing out accerates the newest from Lamo...

I guess you don't like the M3 either - i think it kicks ass. I've always love the M3.

Ludedude 01-06-2003 08:45 PM

I like hte M-Coupe and the M-3 sedan, but the cab is weak. Shakes like a dog in heat and weighs too much. I can't stand the 350Z. Weighs 400-500 pounds more than the S in coupe version, has an engine from an SUV and wasn't designed a a convertible. Wait until they add a few hundred pounds of folding top mechanism and frame bracing on that thing. The SL-55, well, I'm sorta on the fence. I know it goes like hell, but I can't shake the image of the plastic surgeon's wife tooling around Rodeo Dr. in that thing.

i've driven the m3 cab, didn't see the cowl shake. of course it was brand new...

i haven't driven a 350Z, but i'd like to check one out. have you?

SL55 - the car is a demon. and as far as german cars go, it's the closest you'll get to japanese reliablity, with supercar ability :glugglug

quiet 01-06-2003 08:59 PM

back to beer. let's see what you're drinking...

:glugglug

Ludedude 01-06-2003 09:03 PM

Friend of mine got a 350Z back in August. One of the first ones on the East Coast I believe. Anyway, yes, I did get to check it out. Drove it too. The power is there down low, but by 6,000 it's all over...redline is at 6,500 and it's well out of breath by then. We ran a few times on the highway (I'm not a 1/4 mile abuser) and I pulled on him every time but 1) my car's not stock and 2) I don't know how hard he was pushing.

I know the SL is fast, but in that league I'd definitely be leaning towards the Porsche.

The NSX kicks ass. More of that Honda philosophy that works so well in the S.

of course i love the NSX. but the SL55 - it is well, well beyond the league a of 911 Cab. 911 turbo, same league...

yup, very nice. i'd still rather have the 360 though (much of the mas is based on ferrari parts...)

Theo 01-06-2003 09:22 PM

yeah i know what you mean. In the past I would say the 360 too, but since B.Shaw got a ferrari, we need to find an alternative.
