Will We Invade Iraq Even Without A "Smoking Gun"?

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/...ons/index.html

It seems Saddam has so far out-chessed Dubya. We all know Dubya would like to invade Iraq (it's a family issue with the Bushes now). But CAN he since he has let the Security Council in on it, and if they don't find any evidence?

Bush doesn't need evidence to invade, just to repeat day after day that Sadam Hussein is NOT complying.

After the visit of his palace by the inspectors, Bush declared " that it did not look good at all!". What the fuck did they find.

The key is : OIL ( Enron - Texas )

If North Korea had oil instead of bamboo, the US would invade.

And I wonder how many Canadians were saved by not having to join in War for Japan?

Even so, how many countries (including the one who used them to end WWII) have used them again in anger? Not one. Even the country that used one (well, two, really) once has not wanted to use them again.

But I don't think it's a stretch to think Al Qaeda would like to use a few on the West (not just the USA).

the war with iraq has already started you fools. special forces have been targeting missile sites for weeks. wake up. this has nothing to do with the "bush family deal". this has to do with asholes trying to kill americans. if you don't believe it, your an idiot. maybe, I'll give you the rest of the story later.

Of course the US will invade Iraq, regardless of what the inspectors find.

The US will invade. That, I am 90% sure of. Why? Because a Bush is in the white house. The only country that is backing him is the UK, and that's cause the UK under Tony Blair will follow the US everywhere.

As for Chink saying that the weapons have been moved to Syria. Are you hoping one of Bush's advisors reads GFY daily or you gonna make the call to Georgie?

What people have to realize is that Saddam's goal and Al Quada's goal aren't exactly the same. Some parts overlap and so they are allies in certain aspects. But Saddam is about controlling the oil in the Middle east, even the oil that is not in his country. Al Quada is about the evil it sees in the western world. When the US and the UK went into the arab countries to help defend vs the russians it was fine. But after the war the soldiers did not leave. They stayed behind and kept a presence in their country. It soon became clear to the world that the reason was because the west wanted the oil.

The US imports millions of barrels of oil from the middle east. It really does come down to economics, as sad as it is.

None! we were already fighting the Germans in Europe from the first day !!! We were with Britain!!!! Tons of our guys died in Dieppe!!!!

Why is Bush such a puss when it comes to North Korea. Where are his balls? Deflated because they have an army more than double the one of Iraq ( second to the US! ) , planes ( Iraq has none left ( all the action in the no-fly zone ids from ground to planes, and US planes bombing facilities in preparation for invasion) and Nukes . And there is no OIL !!!!

The US are preparing an invasion of a country, not a defense of theirs. AL-Quaeda attacked the twin towers, not Sadam Hussein, Not Khadafi, not Somalia but a terrotrist organization.

In his failure to wipe it out, Bush has created a new center of attraction, Iraq, to get the americans to focus on that instead of his failure to illiminate the terrorism ( Kenya) and to fix the economy!

Even that story about terrorist entering the States from Canada was complete bullshit and made up. Listen to the news of today!Bush used it extensively to promote his war and his homeland security. With all the US ressources ( CIA - FBI - Homeland), you cannot see within a reasonable time when this is bullshit??? One of the gyus was in Pakistan ( by the way, a country much more militant, with Nuke power, and that hates and kills americans).

I think people should take a step back to get the whole portrait, make educated decisions and apply them.

If the UN inspectors do find weapons of that kind, tough he said he had none, then yes he is dangerouis and then go in as the UN, not as the US taking over the country, the oil fields and appointing a military and a (american) civilian to govern.

a small search... for your info!

Few Canadians are aware that there is a Canadian section to the American military cemetery at Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska. These Canadians died in the little known Aleutians Campaign of WW2 when Japan captured two remote Alaskan Islands and threatened an invasion of North America itself. I am completing a book on this unknown war and plan to go to Unalaska this year to visit the site where 5 RCAF P40's ploughed into the side of a mountain. Maybe I can convince the powers that be to supply me with a plaque in memory of those fliers.

Canada and the Second World War 1939-1945

The End of the Pacific War

As millions of people celebrated Victory-in-Europe (V-E) Day, the Allied leaders grimly prepared for the final struggle in the Pacific, where the full weight of the Allied Forces would now be applied against Japan.

Canada, too, prepared for the assault. Nearly 80,000 Canadians volunteered to join the Pacific forces and began concentrating at nine stations across Canada in July 1945. Canadian naval participation was also to have been impressive: 60 ships, manned by 13,500 men. However, the war was over before this help was needed. President Truman of the United States had made the fateful decision to use the atomic bomb.

On August 6, 1945, the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, a city of over 100,000 people. The results were terrifying. A third of the city was obliterated; the rest lay in ruins. Three days later, a second and larger bomb totally destroyed the port of Nagasaki. The Japanese government sued for peace on the following day and, on August 14, 1945, Japan accepted the Allied terms of unconditional surrender. The Second World War was over.

The Bush family is their hands deep into this shit...among other things. My buddy's dad wrote this book and was pretty high up on the Bush chain of command at one point in time. He took a fall and now lives in Peru

They, the Bushes, been involved "behind the scenes" since the early 40's.

I don't believe it's real...I know. The guy was a Brigadier General in the OSS (the precursor to the CIA)...why not believe it?

Even if I didn't, I'd have more reason to believe it then not. If you don't know the story of the Bush family and the role they play in how our country has developed over the past 60 years...you might want to read up.

If I'm not mistaken, Prescott Bush funded a young Richard Nixon's first political campaign...which eventually led to a nice cozy position for his son, George HW Bush.

That's where it all began, and now it's costing their at the helm of an administration that's costing Americans 69,000 jobs each month. The worst in 50 years!
