Lets feel sorry for me! I was told yesterday...

That I do have cancer 100% grrrr here is the story I wrote on one of the lymphoma support boards I belong to...

Wow thanks everyone, it is kind of sucks thinking I wont lose the weight lol but Ole we will have to see! I am in Hampton Va 3 miles from Norfolk Va, Hope not to lose my hair but if I start I am shaving it and gluing it into a hat so I can ware my own hair!

Here is my deal I have been dealing with this since Feb of this year, I went to a doctor he did a needle biopsy it came back Pos for Lymphoma Large B cell so then I went for the removal of my lymph node and went to this quack Dr Flemings out of Hampton Virginia! He tells me it's not lymphoma that I had lupus LUPUS a white man having this?? It's possible though so he did a bone biopsy which he had to keep taken the needle out and then get on top of me to get it! NOW the whole time I seen this Dr I had my mother with me, this quack would have his mom call him they would talk about cooking etc. all the time working and talking to me! So that is when I was like screw this I am finding another Dr.

So I found Dr Tillinghast out of Newport News Va and we were talking and I told him what was going on and he said he had a lot of Pt's come to him and complain about this other quack! Long story short he promised me once after the 2nd surgery to remove another node he would know 100% for sure what I had, well I was to go to him on the
11th but yesterday Friday the 6th He personally calls me and said Mr Kiser I need to see you today or if you can't make it Monday I started asking questions and he said he can't tell me over the phone then I said should I bring my mother and he was like Yes I yelled and said damn it is cancer and he started to get choked up and I said no problem I will be there in 20 mins! We got there found out what it was, told him I had not had my port
flushed since March he was like damn well lets try to get it flushed, he had a lady come up to the room and blam it flushed and it worked great!

W00h00 so again long story short I was told I had it then I was told I didn't it was something else and now I do 100% have it. OH OH I also went to another Doctor Dr wallingford he is a arthritis Dr and he had me do a bone Scan and found that I have now get this, degenerative arthritis of my feet knees and hands and bone spurs in my fingers lol I'm only 37 freaking years old and falling apart!

Thank god I have two great boys who I have custody of ages are 11 he has adhd and I refuse to medicate him and my other son is 14 they are the best things that have ever ever happen to me! I know with them and my mom and a few friends I do have I will get through this but damn I'm tired!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that I know.. it sucks even more, I went to La a couple of weeks ago but while at JFK had my freaking brand new laptop stolen which I was going to use to work while I was getting chemo so now I have to buy another one.. grrr medical bills are killing me!
But what I need and want is all my friends here and all the aff's and new aff's from www.tushycash.com to contact me put me to work for you help me by keeping me busy and help me help you to make more money! Now I only need help working for you if you are a tushycash.com aff or you would like to become one! I will do personal designs for you make special banners, galleries etc. anything and everything so you can make more money with us and help me keep busy!

Please don't take this the wrong way yes Escortbiz does keep me busy but I need to really keep busy so I don't freaking lose my mind worrying etc. so lets hear from you folks! Lets fucking make some MONEY!!!

I am thankful that I live in a city that's generally on the cutting edge of medical science, and our hospitals and doctors are some of the top in the country.

Best of luck.

If you don't mind me asking what made you go to the doctor and have the needle biopsy in the first place?

Hello Fungus,

I was listening to some rap this week, and the lyrics said something like, "You can find me in the club. I will be smoking a bong... chemo... (the rest is inaudible)." I think medicinal marijuana can be used as a painkiller. Do you think cancer growth is a like a fungus inside your body? It could be. Anyway, if you lose your real hair, you can wear fake hair on your bald head. You also wrote something about keeping your old hair that falls off from your head and putting it back on your bald head. Maybe furry animals around your body will make you feel better, also. A hat is a good idea for decoration. You can shave your head completely and pretend that you are not bald. Some people choose being completely shaved as a preference for haircut. You talk about losing weight. The desired body fat % is somewhere 8-12. This is also the body fat % that strong atheletes want to have. The malignant part that is growing out of proportion has to be removed. It does not have to be removed if it is a benign growth.

I am going to write a few more words. In Russia, doctors might tell a terminal patient that he is not going to die. The doctors might lie to a terminal patient and say he/she will survive. Usually, these words from a doctor make the patient live a few days longer and with improved morale. In other countries, the doctors might tell the truth as they see it to the patient. Good luck!

The upside is now that you know for sure, the doctors will know how to best treat it. So rather than feeling like shit all of the time and left speculating (like me), you will know exactly what needs to be done.

Be strong and never give up the fight!

Sorry to hear about your cancer. It's good that you finally got the right diagnosis so that your doctors can start treating you properly.

Good luck on your treatment and for a full recovery.

Be strong.

Yeah, that is kind of why I do not go to doctors. Ignorance is bliss or out of sight, out of mind. Of course, I am older and do not have young kids to worry about.

About the arthritis, is it RA or something else? Goodgirl has been dealing with RA since 2003, and while things definitely got pretty sucky for a while, she is doing a lot better now. If interested, contact me and I will send you a link to her blog where she talks about it and what she is doing to kick its ass.

It might be good for inspiration if nothing else.

Hey I would love to read her blog bud, [email protected] is email

Degenerative arthritis: Also known as osteoarthritis, this type of arthritis is caused by inflammation, breakdown and eventual loss of the cartilage of the joints. Among the over 100 different types of arthritis conditions, osteoarthritis is the most common, affecting usually the hands, feet, spine, and large weight-bearing joints, such as the hips and knees. Also called degenerative joint disease.

Oh man... I wish you all the best & im sure you will fight this & be ok...

Funny, you were mentioning lymph nodes... Since 25 days now my lymph node under my chin as been swollen.. At first it was huge like a golf ball but reduced in size but today I still have that lump under my chin...

I read so much about this... swollen lymph node could be caused by so many things. I thought it was caused because of my broken wisdom tooth that I left without fixing for a few months. Im 39 yo... I don't smoke, dont really drink... dont take drugs...

May I ask you which Lymph nodes were swollen?

Stay strong Fungus... I will pray for you to get through this. I will let u guys know about my condition also. peace.

I know goodgirl had some nodes that popped up a couple months ago, but they would come and go. Turned out it was from the RA itself.

Good Luck Fungus. I did find my first swollen lymph node in my clavicle. I just got home from the doctors and sat down at the desk and put my hand on my shoulder and happen to find it. Then felt 3-4 more going up my neck. So I checked the other side and had some there too. Plus some in my upper arms which did hurt. Neck ones did not. I went back to my specialist for Rheumatoid Arthritis and he ran test to make sure it was not cancer, blood test and a CT scan of the neck and chest. Everything came back indicating it was not cancer. They were swelling and shrinking for a couple months. Now I just have one left that swells and shrinks off and on.

For me having it be symmetrical was a strong indicator that it was the RA. RA can cause inflammation in the lymph nodes or they can react because I am flaring.

I also want to note I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis my first year at 32 years old. But after the first year it was changed to Rheumatoid Arthritis which does run in my family. Bone spurs are common with RA too. Osteoarthritis usually will just hit one side of your body at a time, where with RA when one hand is stiffening up the other does too maybe not as bad. Shoulders, knees, ankles, etc. When it hits one side it hits the other. If you have not seen a Rheumatologist which most see patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and many other forms of arthritis. Mine does see patients with Osteoarthritis too. I would recommend seeing one, if it is RA and not Osteoarthritis, there are medications that also help stop or slow the disease. One of the medications is methotrexate. They found it put people with RA in remission, they found that out when people with RA also had cancer and had to be on methotrexate.

I do hear horror stories on the RA board at arthritis.org. of patients stuck with terrible doctors or not being able to find a good one. I feel lucky that my sister was already seeing the one I see now. He went to both Harvard and Yale and does do a lot of research. He is a wonderful doctor. I have had enough shitty ones in my life to know the difference.

So sorry to hear about your DX. Try to stay strong and fight this. There will be tough days ahead, but you need to stay strong.

I was diagnosed in Oct 2008 with multiple sclerosis at the age of 37. Always otherwise healthy and fit, I suddenly lost all feeling below my chest, developed a limp, and suffer chronic pain now. Then just a couple months later, my wife lost her job -- and she provided our health insurance.

Today, we are fighting the fight of our lives, pushing hard to make our sites earn more money so I can leave my full-time job (where I have to put in 50-hour weeks to pay for my health insurance) and instead work at home on my adult sites and developing my own mainstream web development business.

Sometimes you wonder if God is testing you to see how much you can take.

I forgot to ask, is it lymphoma cancer? Because people with RA have a greater chance of getting RA and on top of that some of the meds can cause it (which one of them I am on). Was it an Oncologist that diagnosed you or a GP? I would never just go with what a GP says, would see a specialist.

this was supposed to be: Because people with RA have a greater chance of getting Lymphoma type cancer. I guess I wasn't that awake when I posted. What type of doctor are you seeing for the arthritis?

http://ezinearticles.com/?Lymphoma-A...itis&id=443025 Untreated RA can lead to lymphoma. The meds for RA can suppress the immune system and stop it from mistakenly attacking your body and stop or slow the damage it causes.

Yes they first thought I had lymphoma Large B cell but Hodgkin's lymphoma is harder to detect! As for Ra it runs in my family but all my blood test came back - for Ra it wasn't till I had a bone scan they found the Deg one! *shrugs* The only thing they gave me for this type is vicodin at this point! Weird eh? I do go to are Ra/Da doctor he was the one that found this!

Sucks.

Eat extremely healthy, take vitamins, exercise (in moderation), and most importantly keep positive.

Best thoughts to you. Medicine has improved in great leaps and bounds in the past few years. Everyday something new. I'm sure you will get fixed so stay strong. Friends and family and some money is what you need and I'm sure you've got that covered.

Ouch - I remember when you first posted about being worried about it... Sucks that it wasn't a false alert
The good thing is Hodgkin's Lymphoma has a much better prognosis than Non-Hodgkin's...
