I'm Back From Tennessee -- Had A Great Vacation -- Pics Inside

I just got back from an awesome trip to Tennessee. I was visiting my parents before they took off across the country for the year. They are retired and travel the states in their RV. I had a blast, but I?m so glad to be home.

We went to the Jack Daniels distillery last week and also ventured in some caverns in Tennessee. I even took a boat ride on the Americas largest underground lake at the Lost Sea. My dad bought a new fishing boat and we went out on Dale Hollow Lake a couple times fishing. It was great to be out in the country having campfires and relaxing with my family. My son even got to mow his first lawn with his grandfather for $5 pay haha. We celebrated his 9th birthday yesterday.

I have several other pics of my vacation, but have to get them off my other camera, so I will post them later as I'm off to bed now. It took me 9 hours to drive home and I'm sooo tired.

To all my clients that I promised design/programming previews, you will get them as promised.

They have a very nice place and are very lucky. The Lake is a couple miles away. Tennessee is a beautiful place.

It was not too bad. I picked up a verizon wireless card and had a pretty decent connection.

If I were living in the states I would pick up a wireless card and a RV and travel the country never staying the same place more than a couple of weeks.
Some of us are very lucky being able to work from anywhere (now working 5000 miles from my home country)

If you look at the gas pedal we had to rig up something so he could reach it. He missed a few spots also when he rounded the corners. My dad had to clean up after him. He did a great job for his first time and I was so proud of him.

haha it was pretty country but people were getting ready for the college football season for sure. It was on every local station and the people of Tennessee are excited about it.

We are pretty lucky to be able to travel and still work. I carried my desktop/monitors and laptop with me. I set up a nice little office at my parents so I could get a couple hours of work done each day. Where are you now Michael if you don't mind me asking?

I've been in the Dickson area the last week or so helping out some family, but its not all that far. You made good time as well if you made it home in 9 hours. Looks like a great place your parents have there.

That sounds like an amazing vacation! I would love to RV across canada and the states one day, I pitched it to my wife for our honeymoon but was overruled. Guess who wears the pants in this house lol!

Yea they are in cville, I'm pretty sure we went through the Dickson area to get to a winery we toured. Nice of you to help family. We were so busy doing things I don't think I would have had time to hang out. My mom makes a list like me and we have stuff to do every day on a schedule. I?m glad to be home and back working long days. If I get back to Tennessee and have some free time we will have to get together. My parents will be gone until next summer traveling so it will be awhile until I get back out to Tennessee. We made really good time coming back home. Only had to fill up once on the road so we raced to get home all the way down 40 until it ended in Wilmington. I missed my place and my animals so kept up with traffic all the way home.

We had a great time. Nice to clear your mind. You have to start throwing her hints now and see if her mind has changed Some people love it and some don't. Takes a pretty strong relationship to travel with someone. The bathrooms are not very big in an RV haha.

Got the same thing on my storm2, and just use pdanet and skip their 15.00 tethering fee lol. Its not good for everyday use, but works great as a backup. And yes have to hang out for sure next trip.

I have some pretty cool pics of the Jack Daniels tour and the underground caverns. But I have to get another cord for my little camera when I get a chance to get off to Best Buy. I left mine at my parents I will post them up a bit later, these are the only ones I had on my bigger cam.

I had a great time in Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains many years ago.

Even though I'm not a huge Country music fan, I do like Bluegrass music, so I made a trip to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville too. Fun times...

Its hit well over 105 this past week or so. Heard 108 mentioned a few times, but didn't feel that hot to me really, but it was hot no doubt. Humidity is the worst part.

I talked to my parents and it looks like you are still hot in Tennessee! It was 105 here at topsail island with the heat index. I went outside to play basketball with my son and we were dying of heat. I was sweating through my clothes outside. We ended up going over to the beach and got in the water to cool off. We had a crazy lighting storm tonight as well.

Looks like a great place for kids. I love all the trees and greenery, only problem for me is I hate the cold & rain so have to live in a dryer part of the country.
