    ever wondered what I do at 2:39 am?

    Well, I suppose it differs from night to night.... but tonight I'm smokin' some green crack, drinkin' Hawaiian Kona coffee straight-up, got John Mayer on the sound system (nice n' low), and scanning phone service receipts & contract advertising agreements from 2007.

                              For me personally, it's not possible. They simply aren't taking old vets on the edge of the re-up window right now.

                              For everyone else in general, sure... if they'll accept you, why not?

                                              One of my biggest regrets is that I was too young, wild, & stupid to make rational decisions at the time that I got out, plus I was fresh off the war, bought a brand spankin' new harley and really wanted to get out. Then blowing it again by not even considering re-up again until it's too late now.

                                              But then, I don't think about regrets much anymore.

                                                  Whattayou mean "what did I do"? I didn't do anything. I checked into re-enlisting since technically I still have a window open to get in a full 20 (16 + my existing 4) before retirement age, but they aren't accepting old dudes right now. That's all. And when they say stuff like that, believe me, it's final. There's no one to appeal to.
