I still maintain that if one thinks ANY of these people are "communists" then that merely indicates that you don't what a communist is.
Look, I'm not a big fan of Obama, either -- but all this nonsense of calling him a "socialist" or "communist," or his calling appointees such is merely muddying the substantive policy debates that need to be kept on serious footing, and need to involve (among other thing) an accurate assessment of fact. If you are maligning your non-communist opponents as communists, then you aren't being factual. Period.
When someone calls Obama a communist, I react no differently than I did when people called Bush a "nazi" during the last administration. When someone commenting on politics reaches for the nazi/Hitler comparison, or the communist/Stalin comparsion, I tend to think that person isn't terribly reasonable. To me, it is pretty clear that they are employing extremist rhetoric to demonize the opposition, instead of making a reasonable, valid point. :2 cents:
