    Mitch who? He was a musician, musical director, and record industry executive, whom many regard as the father of karaoke...

    Although he was a big critic of rock music, he had a big impact on pop music in the 50's and 60's.

                  My first remembrance of him was when I was a young teen learning guitar, and mostly playing rock, when my mom said to listen to this Mitch Miller album, since that was real music, and not "noise" like the Sabbath and Zeppelin that I was learning to play...

                  I was like yeah, right - and then cranked up my amp and created some beautiful noise...
