Animals are run over laying on the roadside everyday. Others get taken to a clinic and killed because we just don't want them anymore. It's apparently ok if it's a possum or an armadillo, but sadder if it's a cat or a dog.

We can take a hammer to the skull of a cow, slit its throat, hang it and let it bleed. Mutilate it and cut it into pieces. Shred it into hamburger. You can't touch it's genitals. You'll go to jail for that. You can stick your dick in hamburger if you want though. That's ok.

Try not to take a stance of morality, but please explain why some animals are different and deserve more respect or why it's ok to slaughter something but sex gets you jailtime. Is it ok if you plan to kill it and eat it afterward ? It's not so "inhumane" then ? Is it more or less about what we feel we can justify ?

Btw, I didn't see the cat video's. I don't believe in causing harm to an animal. It's a sad thing.

I love animals. Some more than others.

Being from the mid-west, I've been around many farms and have actually lived on one. Cows, chickens, the whole bit. We even had dogs and cats. Not crazy about cats, but I love dogs. Especially the big burly ones.

Every now and then on the 10 o'clock news a story would come along about some local farmer abusing and neglecting his animals. Starving horses, pent up boxes, open cuts, lack of proper medication, etc.

Sad to see people treat animals so poorly.

Don't get me wrong, I love meat. Especially beef. Even veal is good.

How many of you guys eat veal?

No, you misunderstood me...I think it is horrible what happened and I think everyone here is reacting correctly. I think the whole fact that someone would toss a cat is absurd and I have never heard of a cat tossing scandal before.
