      Beagles are like that. They love to roam and will find a way to escape from almost any enclosure. I had a beagle when I was a kid. To keep him contained we ended up pouring a 1' concrete footing and then built a 6' wood fence on top of it. He could get over/under anything else we tried and we never wanted to coop him up in a little dog pen.
      I like pie.

                  I thought my mum's dog climbing up a tree to escape from her garden was annoying but that dog is even more determined to get out.
