There are tons of tours that simply convert better without trailers.
Unless you have A and B tested your tour with 100's or joins you will never know.

FHG are some of the WORST converting sales tools on the earth.

What do people think of tours that basically show the entire contents of the members section? Overkill? Better to just show the best and keep them guessing about the rest?

No they're not. Free hosted galleries were great for making sales before the explosion of piracy a couple of years ago.

I made 7 figures a year just off hosted galleries on my tgps up until early 2008.
It all depends what freesite the hosted galleries appear on.

What is your tgp that you ran them on? Mine, for instance have always been clean and done by hand. If you put a hosted gallery on a circle jerk, blind links everywhere piece of shit cookie cutter "pretend" tgp...then of course they aren't gonna convert.

But when I had tons of traffic on my tgp's I stopped taking submissions back in 2002 and went 100% hosted galleries. I made a fortune that way.

And look at FreeOnes. They still have a bit of traffic even today. And they still make sales everyday off of hosted galleries. I know, because they use mine to make sales to Claudia-Marie

Yeah, they bring in a ton of traffic off of the search engines for every models name they have in their data base. So they are still getting traffic in. One of the few free sites still getting it that way. A great idea when they started years ago that is still serving them well today.

But I would think that they have probably seen a drop in uniques per day to the site overall over the last couple of years. Though nothing like the precipitous drop that 99.9% of us saw.

I straight out lost over a million uniques a day of REAL traffic (not pop ups or blindlinks, but bookmark traffic) once pornhub, redtube, etc. hit the scene. :(

Anyway, that was my point. That if you have a tgp or freesite that uses FHG's and it's a clean site with lots of real traffic (and by "real" I mean people who came to the site on purpose), then you can most definitely make good sales with FHG's all day everyday.

Unfortunately, there are only a few "legit" freesites left with that kind of traffic. Most surfers prefer to see full scenes over a hosted gallery in 2010. I can't blame them one bit. But it's killing the biz for sure.
