God, those programmes really wind me up! Both are bad science and bad entertainment masquerading as fact.

I'd say Deadliest Warrior would be the more questionable of the two but it never even occured to me that either one was masquerading their conclusions as fact. Most of it on either show is just the conclusions drawn based on the test conditions set, which usually leaves room for quite a bit of variance.

MythBusters has their moments when they're spot-on and probably reliable, but not always.

mythbusters gets a little crazy with their science at times but overall is pretty good about it. Deadliest Warrior is pure bullshit though lol

What exactly is wrong with mythbusters? Most of what they do seems to be based in science. It's not a PHD level teaching program but it does use basic scientific method.

Deadliest Warrior is just for fun. I think it's pretty obvious that show is just for entertainment.
