Losing a pet is like losing a a piece of the family

Best solution is to get another one right away it's a good distraction and it helps to fill in the huge gap your other pet left behind.

Awww, I hate to hear that. That was the *only* cat I can remember liking since I was little.

Damn I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm afraid that I am going to be doing the same thing in a day or two. Whitey, after having a good run for the last two months, has stopped eating again and this time, I don't think I'll be able to save him. He is so skinny I can almost see through him. that sucks. I have a sphynx cat and they have a lot of personality, almost doglike, so i cant image how hard it is to lose her.

After a morning of tormenting the great dane and rolling around in my lap to see me off
to the office ... 3 hours later she had a massive stroke and my wife rushed her to the vet.
Only to find out she had a blood clot that must have broken loose and caused the stroke.

I had to leave the office and OK the shot that put her to sleep because my wife just couldnt do it herself..

She is so cute in that pic, looks like she is all interested in what you are doing on your laptop.

So sad but at least she is not suffering now.

I've had a lot of pets in my life, everything from snakes, spiders, cats and dogs to horses.
It's never a happy time when you loose a pet, but digging the hole for a horse is a lot of work

Sorry to hear about your Kitty. What a horrible way to go... !!

My GF and I love cats too and have had ours forever. One of the oldest had to be put down because she had cancer. We held on too long because we're idiots and didn't want to admit what was happening but in the end we knew she was suffering and... well its one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. Lots of tears..

sorry for your loss, we just recently lost Ashley's cat to cancer, vet said she wouldnt last the week, she lasted over a month, the other pets are still kinda sad about it seems.

Hasnt been a year since I had to do the very same to my cat. Still hurts when i think about not having his kick ass self around.

Never have had to go the extent of having them put down... was hard to hold him during that. But it was the best thing at the time for him.

losing a pet is no different than losing a human member of the family, i grieved worse and longer over my dog than anybody other than my dad.
