Many members join many sites. No one is going to go to one site, join and stay there forever. I'd rather try to get some $ by showing him some other sites than not getting any $ and letting someone else get it.

There IS a way to upsell "organically" and with integrity, but it has to be done right. Problem is, as with most porn sites and site owners, they just do whatever they want and throw ugly-ass banners up, and animated GIFs flashing this or that "deal". It's fucking ridiculous. It's like walking into a Red Light District with tacky neon lights flashing. Puh-leeeeeeze!

it's ridiculous to think upsales in the member's area destroys rebills. do affiliates really think a member is going to say "oh my god, look at all these other porn sites that i can join...i never knew they existed!"
the bottom line is members are going to leave at some point or another. a site owner can only try to direct them to another site and hopefully make some money in the process.
where the fuck do affiliate get off telling site owners how to run their sites? affiliates can not exist without sponsors but sponsors have always and will always make money without affiliates.
so fuck off to all the cry baby affiliates because they aren't making the money they use to for doing dick all.Comment

Surely if the sandwich shop who didn't sell drinks told their customer they could get a nice drink to wash it down with from another shop just down the street is no different to a program who doesn't offer cams themselves .... up-selling someone elses?
If you don't offer yourself what you are up-selling, surely its fine?

I only upsell to sites that are relevant to what I'm selling. If they join my big tit site, I only show cams or a banner or two to quality big tit sites. I don't blast them with penis enlargers and dumb spammy shit. It helps with the sale and more will buy if you offer what they are already looking for.
I've tested with and without upsells. Both models rebill the same.Comment

If you don't upsell you are leaving big $$$$ on the table.
It's not about ripping people off. It's about running a business and maximizing your revenues. If you want to do business with companies that don't do that then go right ahead. Don't be surprised when they can't pay you.
We have clean high quality upsells in our members area. The reality is a very large portion of members join/spend at more than one site in a month. We find the best deals, products, services and offer them to them. It doesn't hurt their experience on Twistys and only adds to our bottomline.
That is why we offer 70% revshare instead of 50.Comment
