Ron Paul owns Bernanke

https://youtube.com/watch?v=CD6d_...layer_embedded

I lost count how many times Ron Paul has owned both Bernanke and Greenspan in the past 10 years. Props to the Free Market/Austrian School economists.

Ron Paul owns all. I don't agree with him 100% but at least he fucking tells it like it is.

You guys remember 2008 how R. Paul was attacked on this board. I have yet see some of the crackpots chime in about how "kooky" he is. Maybe it's sign of the times. Maybe people might listen to what he says this time around.

Apparently it's easy for people to call someone kooky. All you have to do is be on the other team really.

The last time around all the other candidates seemed to me to be people propped up by their parties to run for the party, whereas Ron clearly was running by himself as a leader. I don't really know what the other candidates think, they just say what they're supposed to. Ron Paul actually thinks, then responds. Quite amazing.

It is just too bad that he really doesn't want to be president or at least isn't serious about running a campaign that can lead to him winning the presidency or he might actually get to put some of these words into action.

That's ~$12,000 per US citizen. I'm sure $1,000/mo could help plenty of people with their mortgage/rent for a year so they can use the extra cash to stimulate buying.

We have spent 3.7 trillion on bail outs, that would have bought out 1/3 of ALL mortgages! It is just fucking insane.

I was thinking about Ross Perot today, he got more votes as a third party candidate than anyone ever, if he wouldn't have pulled out like he did, ruining his chances, we would probably have a completely different political environment today and voting someone into office because they weren't Bush may not have happened and we wouldn't be in this fucked up mess of the Obamanation. We probably wouldn't have two wars either

think about that

I sometimes wonder that myself. Even if Perot hadn't have won, what if the Reform party had stuck together, raised money and continued to grow. They had some success getting local and state reps elected and they also got Jesse Ventura elected governor, but then they started to splinter and fall apart.

What if 1/3rd of the house and senate were reform party members? then no party could run roughshot over it and they would all have to get along and work together.

Well, he's not kooky as much as unrealistic. I would love to go on the gold standard but nobody is going to support him getting rid of the FED and IRS. THat's just not realistic. Also, his foreign policies will get us invaded.

The Fed and IRS need to go. The IRS should be replaced by a flat consumption tax. The more you spend, the more you pay. The purpose now is social engineering and behavior control. It is evil. Just look at that blowhard Kerry and his yacht. This guy ought to have his as kicked. He is a fucking weazel.

The Federal Reserve system has gotten us into the mess we are in today. Tinkering with interest rates and printing money hand over fist has almost bankrupted the country. If the truth were known about how weak the economy really is there would be a run on the banks. Alan Greenspan was a shill for the country club crowd as I am sure Bernanke is and just as I am sure all his predecessors.

I happen to agree with his foreign policy. Do you realize how many billions of dollars are wasted on defense spending? How many bases we have in foreign countries where they don't want us? Let Israel take care of the middle east. Why cant we concentrate on border control and intelligence to keep another 9-11 happening? It's ridiculous for us to have a base in Europe.

Why can't we go back on the gold standard? Why is that crazy? It is something that has value.... paper money does not. What is wrong with the government only spending what it has? Why do we need a currency that can be manipulated by politics?

These are not unrealistic ideas. They are ideas that make sense. If you think there will be pain in making these changes now, just wait until we run the course we are on now. The boomers are starting to retire. And when they find out that there retirement money is gone, Medicare is gone, there are going to be grey haired white people taking to the streets. The watts riots will look like Sunday school.

It's TOO MUCH of a free market that put us in the situation we're in today vis a vis the banks, and the fact that we effectively live in an oligarchy dominated and controlled by financial institutions. That and the fact that you 'free market' conservatives refuse to support any regulation of these institutions.

So thanks for that.

I think you can blame the politicization of the oversight and regulation on the political structure we currently have. Everything is for sale in Washington. Special interest throwing money at politicians is not freedom of speech; it's plain out bribery.

Don't lose sight of the ball. The democrats and republicans are to blame. To separate the two is a mistake. They want to make politics a sport so we all choose a side and not notice or care when "my side " fucks up. The "other side" gets angry that things are fucked up, so the mobilize and get "their side" back in power. Nobody wins because we all lose. Special interests funnel the money and our representatives fuck us over. But as long as it's "our guy", it doesn't matter. It's just a sport.

If it's just a sport and sides don't matter, why is it the Repugnicans trying to rob social security, conservatards fighting the appt. of a truly effective leader for the consumer protection bureau, conservatives apologizing to BP, conservatives fighting regulation of big business, conservatives trying to eliminate taxes on the obscenely wealthy?

Don't kid yourself. There's a difference. Saying in an oh so blase tone that there's not betrays an intellectual laziness and no real grasp of what's actually going on.

Have some more kool aid

End of Bush tax cuts = 50% tax hike for lowest earners
End of Bush tax cuts = 10% tax hike for wealthiest

Both parties are working together to screw you and get money to their corporate friends

without even fact checking, that claim is so oddball ridiculous that I can tell it came from Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, the great right wing propagandists.

Look, if you want to blame one side or the other you are part of the problem. These guys are cut from the same cloth and they are both taking money from BP and trial lawyers and tobacco companies and every other industry that doesn't give 2 fucks for you or anyone you know. You are kidding yourself if you think either wants to change the status quo. These guys hang out in the same bars slapping eachother on the back and trading interns to fuck. It's a grand life on the hill.

*edit* oh, and we are getting to foot the bill for this big party. You don't think John Kerry wants to waste his tax money on whores, booze and cocaine? Oh yeah, he doesn't pay taxes, my bad.

If you're too lazy to actually find out what the situation is, then you're part of the problem. Especially when you're so eager to chime in with your world-weary, oh so wise comments about how they're all the same. It's that dumb resigned attitude that allows this kind of shit to happen.

Testyourgirls, what you're saying is about as likely as there being a worldwide jew conspiracy to take over the world. It doesn't even merit a reasoned response. It's a joke. Ridiculous. How can you believe shit like that?

Look fuckstick, read the fucking link he posted. 10% to 15% is 50% The lowest bracket taxpayer doesn't have the loopholes to hide income... like john kerry. If that douche bag says "rich pay their fair share" again I will barf. IF ANYTHING, THIS IS A REGRESSIVE TAX INCREASE ON THE POOR AN MIDDLE CLASS!

I am not so sure what "world-weary" means. But I am weary of fucking politicians pissing on my back and telling me it's raining. It's obvious that you are a brainwashed "tool" for the democrats because you won't even look at the link.

By all mean, please enlighten us with what the democrats are doing to change the country.

Simple math is ridiculous? WSJ has the same numbers

http://online.wsj.com/article/NA_WSJ...255 2246.html

Although their propaganda piece does not show that the lowest will be increased from 10 to 15% but has the wealthy going from 35 to 39.5

So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that

So thanks for that.
I found the bolded line interesting. Yes, we free market conservatives refuse to support regulation. THAT IS WHAT FREE MARKET MEANS. Wow, I don't want to call you stupid, but damn.

And it wasn't a lack of regulation that got us here, that's just what the Democrats want everyone to think. It was a mixture of fiscal and monetary mismanagement by the FED and careless spending by the consumers that got us here.

Don't kid yourself. There's a difference. Saying in an oh so blase tone that there's not betrays an intellectual laziness and no real grasp of what's actually going on.
I was wrong, you most certainly are a stupid brainwashed liberal.
