The principle of the earmark is our responsibility. We're supposed to ? it's like a ? a tax credit. And I vote for all tax credits, no matter how silly they might seem. If I can give you any of you of your money back, I vote for it. So, if I can give my district any money back, I encourage that.

But, because the budget is out of control, I haven't voted for an appropriation in years ? if ever.

Sadly in many ways its true. I don't know if I will give him all the blame since the democrats are spineless in general but so far he has been a pretty big disappointment for me. He still has 2+ years left but I don't see any signs of hope yet.

or more accurately,

*In appropriation bills, he adds millions in subsidies for his district, every chance he gets, and later votes against them, by voting against the appropriation bill which contains those subsidies*

In 2008 Ron Paul's congressional office returned $58,000 to the Treasury. In 2009, his office returned $90,000. This year it just paid back $100,000.

This is not a guy gaming the system. If people want real change you have an opportunity. With Obama, there was no change...it has been business as usual.

Now I dont agree with all that he espouses, but there is no way he could implement many of the things he wants in 4 years because congress will go against him. But it will cut the head off the beast and may lead to a real lasting chance to change the game.

I completely DISagree with you! Obama changed everything!

He changed his name from Barry Soetaro.
He changed the skin colour of the President.
He changed the disinterested black minority into Intensely devout followers (of him, and not actual politics)
He changed the idea BACK to "Anything is Possible" right as people thought otherwise.
bla bla bla

Lots of useless changes. Nothing of substance as you were saying. But, those useless changes DID manage to rally a tremendous following. The dude was on the cover of Spider Man! Jesus-level following in a lot of areas.

And the next change that is being predicted is the Acceptance of disregarding your Constitution by way of executive order. Give up your freedoms and liberties in exchange for security... Which we all know will result in no security, no liberties and no freedoms. Duh.

Moron. :2 cents:

"illegal campaign practices"

Yes, because informing people how their candidates voted on certain issues is now "illegal" right?

I support the complete dismantling of the US government and burning of the US constitution.

You just don't like the conclusions I've come to because it flies in the face of your hero worship.

The FEC is investigating claims that the organization is using its staff to directly benefit candidates for elected office. Like they?re doing with Rand Paul and concealing corporate contributions, coordinating with candidates and knowingly exceeding contribution limits.
Of course we will have to wait for the investigations conclusion to see if anything comes of it.
