I've always loved that site and some days I have what I think could be golden submissions.

Not having been back for awhile until today, I came across this one. It'd be hilarious if it were an adult sponsor.

While developing an affiliate website for one of our mobile network clients, my employer came over and reviewed the site we were building.

Boss: “I think we need to have some sort of avatar on the home page, to welcome the users to the site.”

Me: “Okay, no problem. Was there anything you had in mind?”

[I proceeded to create this sexy avatar.]

Me: “I’ve finished the avatar. Was this what you were after?”

Me: “Okay. What are you looking for then?”

[My Boss then loaded up his internet browser and Google searched an image of a small, chubby, animated duck holding a mobile phone.]

Me: “I thought you wanted a sexy woman?”

Boss: “I do.”

Me: “So you want a cross between a sexy woman and a fat, yellow duck?”

I know it is an epic fail. And this might not be your customer. But I know that I do not know everything, and if I am in the process of hiring a designer and I ask a stupid question. I would hope he would explain it to me in hopes of having that earn him my business instead of him going and posting it on a message board. Unless you are a millionaire and you do design for fun (both of which i doubt), you should do anything short of sucking someones dick to get there business. I personally wouldn't hire you now just on the fact I would be afraid to ask something and you would think I am 'dumb'.
