Are PACIFICRACK having issues? SPAM me dedicated server deals

Half their website doesn't work - try and get details on any of their dedicated plans: https://manage.quadranet.com/order/?form_id=106

    Fatal Error
    Invalid order form

I'm paying US$400 per month for a dedicated server and it has been up and down for over 3 days. This equates to a substantial loss of earnings, way more than their 10 day free SLA breaking terms.

It's not the first time I've had issues. Seriously pissed off.

strange you are having problems, pacificrack have been solid for me with the server I have with them, I just looked and have over 99.9% uptime with them in the last 6 months, and the server has been up 100% this month so far

I've recommended them to people for years, until this year, no issues whatsoever.

I have to wait and see if my programmer has the time and inclination to shift 3 sites over next week, and go through all the dealings with accounts etc. FFS.

Some good deals above, I've bookmarked this thread.

I wouldn't host with a company that allows sites like stories.xnxx.com to post CP / Snuff / Bestiality / Rape and torture stories.

How do you allow it, illegal in the US aren't they? You might want to look into that.

That's probably an excuse. Unless, perhaps, the real issue is heat. A fan died and nobody
was monitoring it so the drives started failing as they server overheated.

You might take note of that part about "nobody was monitoring it". You'll also notice a bunch of
hosts posting the cheapest deals. Most people buy hosting primarily on price, so the profit
margin is slim. Therefore, with 90% of hosts your "managed" server is totally ignored until
you request something. The alerts that the OS sends out when bad shit happens are sent
to nobody. This is the end result.

They have it back up now. Turns out one of the 2 drives we have in RAID failed last week, was replaced, and now the second original drive they had in there failed - so luckily one of the drives still worked, and a new drive in there has recovered the thing.

I've had perhaps 3 hard drives fail on me in 15 years, it doesn't seem right that 2 should fail within a week. Something else is probably up with it like overheating as raymor suggests.

3 days of downtime x 250,000 page impressions, that's a fuckload of pissed me off.

I'm paying US$400 per month for a dedicated server and it has been up and down for over 3 days. This equates to a substantial loss of earnings, way more than their 10 day free SLA breaking terms.

Maybe they have run out of hardware and don't want any more business right now, and the reason they are obviously building dedicated servers with shitty old drives that are on the way out.

I wonder how that merger is working out for them. Not well from the looks of things.
