I started fall of 06 and by fall of 07 had an opportunity to start a smallish warehousing and trucking business. My family had been in trucking the whole time I was a kid so I was familar and jumped on it with my new found porn money. So since Jan of 08 I've had an offline business that my wife and brother run. However myself personally have continued busting ass and growing my adult business. Last two years I've paid myself nothing from the offline business so it can be on steroids in a sense gaining steam and paying it's debt off asap. Mean time I brought on 2 full time adult team members and we bust out huge amounts of work and all the while the offline company is getting more and more healthy since I was able to piggy back off my adult money. Thinking in the next year after offline biz debt is all gone that the two together should be pretty damn nice.

Adult for life though. I owe ALOT to this game and it still treats me very well. One of those you get out of it what you put in sorta things. Still zero mainstream holdings at this point and although my eyes are always open, it's doubtful I'll explore MS anytime soon unless I can eventually afford to hire more team and do it up right.

edit* When I started I had 100 bucks to invest and that is ALL. What other industry can you go from poor with 100 dollar investment and get to making thousands to tens of thousands to hundreds. Im forever greatful myself. You all should be too.

I have several businesses not related to porn. Restaurant which is good steady income. I manufacture furniture which is taking a beating because ocean freight costs are out of control. I have a couple of massage parlors that during the season make really nice money(short season tho). And a few other things that bring in some small money.

All in all I can pay some of my bills and eat out when I want. It's about 25% of what I made in the 90's and half of what I made after 9-11. Glad I moved to Indonesia because I hear the US economy is taking it in the ass now.

At the moment, this is the only business bringing money to the table, however, I have taken on full time farming since turning my home into a small organic micro farm which should become a business come harvest time when I can sell veggies at the farmers markets along with some eggs as well. 2011 should be a large growth area due to expansion and the addition of dairy, so we'll also be offering goats milk, goats milk soap and goats milk cheese. In addition to that, we'll be breeding, so will be selling chicks, ducklings and goat kids.

I've been working on a B&M which is still in the planning stages due to lack of venture capital, however, my research indicates I'd have 100% market share for the entire region since the only other sources are online only.

I owned a Gym for a few years, it was the nicest gym in a 20 mile radius. But if they city didn't buy me out for a new city project they were proposed to do at the time, which they never did. I would have lost my ass.

It's a tough business, especially if you are never there.

Ebay is NOT a "mainstream opportunity" for anybody. It WAS a mainstream opportunity for the original guy who thought it up. Which goes right back to what I said earlier that if you got into the online game early like I did...and like the guy who originally came up with Ebay did...then you had the ability to be the first to do something.

But as far as a person jumping into "mainstream" with no money to start up right now...Ebay doesn't represent anything more than a place to start one of tens of thousands of online stores.
