Finally YES!!!!!

BFT3K 07-16-2010 11:20 AM

Just got the check dated July 12th - still haven't received LAST WEEK'S check, dated July 5th.

From the postings in this thread so far, that seems to be consistent with checks sent out to the NJ area.

As CCBill states that this check went out ONE DAY late, and it is now at least ONE WEEK past due, what are we supposed to do about it?

Do you guys imagine it will still arrive, or should CCBill just stop payment on this area's checks and re-issue the checks ASAP?

How many checks are in this "missing bin"?

Someone from CCBill please advise.

Thank you in advance.

BTW, I don't think asking the people who haven't been paid, for $20 to re-issue their missing checks, is really fair (assuming that is the answer).

I have serious doubts now, that checks that are now this late, will be showing up anytime soon.

It must be an east coast thing. Did the people from the West Coast get their check from 6/20?

Good question - I will check it out this afternoon. Looks like I will have to be more vigilant documenting these things from now on....

Yes, east coast here. I've noticed the delays happening sporadically ever since they went from regular first class to presorted first class. Presorted first class ( http://www.usps.com/send/waystosendm...tclassmail.htm ) is cheaper for them but requires them to sort the mail in bins before giving it to the post office. It's looking like the bin for the east Coast often gets sent later, or evidently in this case sometimes not at all?

I'll gladly pay the $20 fee if Ccbill insists (first time I've had a lost check with them in about 10 years), however I don't think I should have to pay in this case since it's pretty obvious the problem isn't isolated just to me and isn't my screw up. I guess I'll wait a while longer yet...

So, essentially someone over at CCBill fucked up the mail sorting.

I don't really know that. Just speculating. Something like this happened last year and the checks were about a week to a week and a half late but did come. Hopefully they'll turn up.

Sign up for an online bank like ING, make sure the bank you choose does not charge fees for incoming wires. I use ING myself but I don't have any wires sent to it so I don't know if they charge, but I'm assuming they don't. Then you go into your primary bank account and request a transfer from your secondary bank account (in my case, ING.) These transfers do not cost anything (if your bank charges you for these too, move.)

Another option is to not transfer the money at all, just leave it in your secondary account. With ING I have a debit card, I have bill pay, and I believe that you can also set up the more traditional checking account but you would need to double check on that.

Main point being, you should not be paying your bank all of these ridiculous fees. They are total BS. I use two different local credit unions and neither of them charge for incoming wires or other silly fees. Five dollars here, $10 there... at the end of the year that adds up to a lot of money that you didn't need to spend.

You should have just said "bank with a credit union".

Same here. PA.

the alchemist 07-16-2010 12:58 PM

I still haven't received the one dated 7/4...

flpartyduo2 07-16-2010 01:04 PM

many of us are in the same boat, we know Ccbill is on GFY, how about an explanation from them?

CC 07-16-2010 01:13 PM

We're also on the east coast, so yeah it's obviously an east coast thing. Not cool.

CCBill Paul 07-16-2010 01:39 PM

We understand your frustration and the inconvenience a late check can cause. We sent checks out last week in the exact same manner and fashion as we do every week, the only difference was that they were sent on the 6th due to the holiday.

It seems that a number of checks headed to the east coast of the US were misrouted once we dropped them off at the post office. As I am sure you can understand, once we drop them off at the post office we relinquish just about all control over them.

We have a couple of options here. 1. We can wait for the check to either arrive or be returned to us. I believe this is the best option as I have been hearing from clients all week that the checks have been showing up. And 2. We put a stop payment on the missing check and re-issue a new one. This is certainly an option and if you want to contact me directly I will put the process in motion. The problem with this is that if the missing check shows up after we put the stop payment on it then you will not be able to cash it and will still end up waiting for the new check.

Relying on the postal service for your payouts is a risk and that is why we also offer delivery via FedEx and wire transfers. If you would like to discuss these options or specifics to your account please feel free to contact me directly.

The Porn Nerd 07-16-2010 03:43 PM

I would like CCBill to hand deliver me the check, place it gently in my palm, kiss me sweetly on the cheek and then give me a handjob. It would be swell if the delivery person could be a woman.

Is this possible? :D

docputer 07-16-2010 04:00 PM

Check today in Ks

ruff 07-16-2010 04:28 PM

Got my checks today dated July 06, 2010. Got to be the Post Office because they won't accept post metered checks with the wrong date. CC Bill had to have mailed them on the 6th, then who knows what happened.

justinsain 07-17-2010 03:08 PM

Got my check dated 7/6 in today's mail and I'm on the east coast if that matters.

I'd say be patient and it will eventually get there. :)

+1

Even worse if you're outside the USA. When I was still receiving cheques it wasn't unusual to get two at the same time, even though they were sent a week apart.

Now a question...

How long after the period that you go over the minimum does ccbill initiate the payment? Is it 3 weeks?

DVTimes 07-19-2010 05:58 PM

why not wire the cash and make life easy?

I would rather have ACH payments. That doesn't cost anything.

Thanks for the advice. However, I don't know of any bank that doesn't charge wire transfer fees. FYI, ING does not charge for ACH transfers but they do charge a fee for fed wires.

Still no check from 2 weeks ago. Maybe the PO just re-routed everything, and it takes time to get those checks mailed back from fucking Singapore or something. Grrr!

My credit union doesn't charge a fee for incoming wires. I think you'll find this is the case with many credit unions.
