I loved this movie but I wanted to see what other people got from it. It deals with reality and dreams with a very fresh perspective. Psychological phenomena like false memories and the introspection illusions are things that forever linger in our mind's subconscious. Anything is possible the dream state it is "pure creation". Also think about how monumental and infectious ideas are, look at Facebook, Twitter or other ideas that spread wildly. How much persuasion, influence can we have? After all these are all the things that good marketers do isn't?

If you wanted to plant and Idea in someone what would it be? Most importantly to whom?

Inception is a GREAT movie... it's Chris Nolan's best movie (better than Dark Knight, sorry Batfans). It's deep, multi-layered, and a true thinking-man's science fiction movie.

the idea of planting an idea within the dream realm is very interesting although people do this to other people(persons) in a waking state all the time, and they do it sufficiently to make major changes in the course of events.

Watched the bd a few days ago, was really surprised. I couldn't remember that it was that good. Was a little bit disappointed when I saw the first time in the cinema. Guess there were too many dreams in dream in a dream . Quality of the BD was pretty good, too.

He is dreaming.

So I've watched this a few times and read that you have to LISTEN to the ending if you want to know if he is still dreaming or not.

When the movie starts, his kids are playing IN THE SAND.

At the end when he sees them, they are playing IN THE GRASS.

He asks them what they are doing, they quietly reply: "WE'RE BUILDING SAND CASTLES"

But they are not in sand, they are in grass, and wearing the same clothes as in his dreams.

Then the movie cuts off.

He is still dreaming.

This is going to sound counter-intuitive, but for a complicated movie like this I like to get stoned and just let it wash over me without over-thinking it. Eventually shit falls into place, even if it's confusing at first.

--and don't think that you have to understand exactly what happened to enjoy it. If you paid the least bit of attention, you'll have a general comprehension of what transpired, and your pants might get accidentally soiled.
