i bought oem one on newegg, they have oem bundle for 3 or more licenses also

I bought 4 OEM versions from an Ebay computer store. I can't find out who it was unless I dig through my receipts(and Ebay doesn't show a history) --- but it was a good experience, and not expensive. Just find a reputable seller that has a lot of products, and you can't go wrong.

i wouldnt bother with windows

half of japan doesnt use it anymore....get goign with ubuntu or something

its free...and wont slow your comp down

No. There is some support for certain programs using WINE (essentially like an emulator) however most programs have issues and many won't run at all while some will run perfectly. Usually however the focus is on using native applications to entirely replace the old Windows programs so that you do not need to use WINE. If you are going to migrate to Linux you should expect some work to be involved on your part as you will need to learn the Linux way. Expect to have issues at first but things will become easier over time. Only you can decide if you would like to put in the effort to switch or whether it is worth it to you. Some people will tell you it is easy and entirely effortless where everything you already do will just magically work exactly the same under Linux. Others will tell you that you must be a propeller head geek with 20 years Linux experience to use Linux. As almost always the case, the truth is in the middle. You didn't get to your current familiarity with Windows in one day and neither will you master Linux in a day. It will take time and effort.

Like someone above adviced, switch to Ubuntu and will never miss windows.

hey that's a great idea.... lets see... hummmm... I'm working about 70-80 hours a week right now shooting/recruting/editing content... yes I think I have time to jerk around with comp bullshit alright

Simply a peer to peer network for quickbooks and simple access database stuff, nothing exciting.
