I think they deserve to be in the final, as they have been the best team to watch by far in the tournament.

I hear the Netherlands are hoping that Germany wins. They feel they have the best chance against them in the final. Interesting.

Personally I think Germany is on their way to taking it all. I said early on they look the most dangerous, yet in so many threads all over the web asking who will win the world cup posted a month ago it seems no one saw them coming, or very VERY few did.

I'll predict the final score will be 3-2. For who, I couldn't say. I think it'll be Germany but I wouldn't mind seeing Spain win.

This game in effect IS the world cup final, as these are the two best teams in the tournament over all.

Not exactly like that from a Dutch point of view IMO.

The Dutch want to have Germany in the final because:
-They are the strongest team so to win from them makes it even sweeter.
-They beat us in 1974 with 2:1 in the finals and the Dutch want some "revenge" after 36 years...

But if we win from Spain in the finals, the Dutch won't be dissapointed

I expected Spain to have the most possession time though. They tend to create more, but Germany tends to capitalize more on the little they do create. Theirs are usually the more dangerous chances when there are chances to be had.

This game is like a chess match so far. Are they both playing a bit too cautious?

Germany has been more cautious imo and they need to get loose if they want to win.

on the other hand spain took some good shots but considering the time they've had with the ball they really haven't done much except control it.

its still looking better for spain than i previously thought.

After looking so good all tournament, Germany were very poor there.

Some of it willbe down to how good Spain were, but part of it must have been the German attitiude going into the game, which seemed nothing like we've seen from them the last few weeks.

Sad to see them go out with such a whimper...
