I hate the offside rule completely, and wish they would just do away with it. The game would be a lot more entertaining than it is now if they did. It's a stupid annoying call virtually every time the ref blows his idiot whistle for it. Sorry but if an attacking player is intrepid enough to get in behind your team's defense and get the ball and score, I think the term "tough shit" should come into play, as in "if your D is too stupid and weak to cover that guy properly then 'tough shit' they deserve what they get".

I want to hit something everytime that sideline idiot raises his flag for offside.

u cant remove offside.. the other team will just send 4 guys to camp next to ur goal.. make a long pass and bam.. its a good rule.. i play indoor soccer, no offsides, last game some guy camped and scored 10 goals against us..

What a shame, If the offside goal wasn't given to the Netherlands I think this would have gone into over time. The Dutch seemed to be like the Italians tonight faking all the fouls and falling on the floor at ever touch. Uruguay is out but after playing a great world cup congrats to them and to the Dutch that fly to the final.

Nah, you just have to be smart about it. Make the offside line at a fixed point, maybe halfway between the center line and the goal line in each zone. None of this floating shit they do now where an offside can happen anywhere. Just one fixed point, and once the play moves beyond that point towards the goal then all bets are off. That would be enough to prevent camping but not so doggedly annoying like it is now.

I've even heard several pro soccer/football announcers say much the same thing. I just happen to agree with it.

Exciting finish. Even though there were a few very close offside calls and non calls ... the officiating wasn't too bad this game! There has been some trully awful officials and calls this world cup.

Since when sacrificing yourself for your team is unfair play?
Red card & penalty kick allready made justice, Ghana had the opportunity to score and failed.
Also Uruguay was the first team to win a world cup ever & the only team that defeated brazil in a final and in their hometown. We were the ones who showed the rest of the world how to play soccer. Go take your hate somewhere else loser!
