Wow!...Its been a good run but it really IS over...

I remember when I would visit my PO box every day because I didn't know what check would show up....I remember when my kids were with me, and I got back in the van with a handful of checks, I used to sing, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"........That's because it really DID feel like Christmas to get checks in the mail for doing no extra work...It was like icing on the cake.

Then in 2010 it collapsed......I don't even bother to check my mail even once a week these days and even then I'm mostly disappointed.....So I must give the official word that Affiliate Marketing for Adult is jive dead....

The ONLY way you're going to survive is if you produce your own product and have your own clientele to sell it to....You have to acquire and most importantly, KEEP your customers to survive...If it wasn't for my own product, I would've been out of business..........There is no reason for sites to exist to point out "new" sites anymore because there is now a website or clip store for every sexual niche you can imagine......Also, most people have already made up their minds about which sites are their favorites...It's almost like television or radio stations are today....Who the hell is putting out new networks besides Oprah?

I remember when I was out in the streets shooting girls and was envious of TGP owners who didn't have to do ANYTHING to make money in porn....They were able to live nice family lives and were free from the scorn of their wives or loved ones.....Now I'm glad as hell that I kept shooting porn....

lots of shit going down the tubes (haha) these days but i still have sponsors converting at 1:80 or so..but the only thing really keeping me going these days is the money i make in "mainstream".

I think it's funny when people assume because their methods of promotion no longer work for them that everyone else must be in the same boat.

Here's some facts from my point of view:
- My income is up 20% over last year. For the 9th straight year running I'll have a comfortable income well in to the six figure mark.
- What was the lion share of my income two years ago represents less than 10% of this year's.
-I am doing less work, by a huge amount, today than I was a few years ago. I have all kinds of time for pet projects and programming again
- My overhead has plumetted. Between no longer hosting galleries, not having to buy or product content (sponsors are happy to supply) and a steady demand by qualified outsourced employees for steady jobs at low prices, my largest expense is domain registrations.
- I am still converting large "saturated" programs very well. TopBucks (1:650 YTD), Nastydollars (1:350), BangBros (1:360). Think about that for a second.

Now don't get me wrong. We're in a recession and the face of adult is certainly changing. Personally I think it's doing ME good. For every little guy affiliate who can't make his one or two sales a week now and vanishes, that's more potential customers for me. There are plenty of suckers on the interenet and more connecting each day. Perhaps it's time to change your game plan?

I mean, jesus christ guys. Even Teencat is making 6K a month and I'd be surprised if he can walk and talk at the same time he's so fucking stupid.

So that told me you were submitting galleries and possibly didn't have your own traffic source? Or do you own tgps or other types of freesites too?

I was never really upset that I lost my pichunter account. I haven't submitted galleries in more than two years now. I was pissed off that they closed that account, which I'd had for going on 10 years, over some stupid content bitch.

Why my income is up because instead of competing with a whole ton of people for a shrinking traffic pool (MGP), I've got a totally different traffic source that keeps growing and has far less competition. It's pretty simple really.

It's not exactly a secret that online Adult is a dead industry at this point. There are not many people making money in Adult anymore.... at least not any kind of real money. Don't believe half the shit you hear from program owners saying they are making a killing or this and that because odds are most of it is just straight up bullshitting to try and make themselves look good to others still.

I've really concentrated on the program side of things, running programs etc, but in the past two years I've been working on becoming an affiliate. I have a blog network; It's easy money. I'm sure that if I did this five years ago I'd be making ten times as much, but I'm not putting much effort into it and making a ton of money.

I only have a handful of semi-active affiliates, but they account for 1/3 of my sales (new and recurring) every month - so SOME affiliates must still be doing SOMETHING right!
