This feature of ElevatedX ROCKS!!!
we all know that transparent tours increase conversions dramatically, so lots of webmasters are turning to this. Right now I'm in the middle of skinning two transparent tours for the elevatedx CMS, and it is so easy! Great feature, very easy to implement and the results are amazing.

We've been doing this for a couple of years although it's not part of our standard install so a lot of people aren't aware it even exists. Our customers typically take responsibility for their own tours and do their own thing. We don't have a way to keep track of who's using this setup but these are a few examples I know of where Elevated X run member's areas have been mirrored to work as tours:
http://www.nitrovideo.com/ http://www.vidsod.com http://www.zztits.com/tour/ It does work well. I'll leave it to Czarina to post more recent examples and show off some of her work  AJ

In short a transparent tour is when the tour pages are the same layout and design as the members area but obviously you don't get to view the full videos and picture galleries etc until you join.... What you see on the outside is what you get on the inside

a transparent tour is a tour that shows all the updates, including all thumbs in the photo updates and thumb-caps in the video updates, so the surfer sees EVERYTHING that is inside the tour, but without being able to watch the actual content. It's great.
