i was watching big bang theory episode where sheldon was insulting babylon 5 and it resulted in a conversation with my friends about not having shows that do self contained stories any more (4 year arc of babylon 5 was one sell contained story, where the end was always clearly defined)
and one of my friends mentioned i should check out supernatuarl because that what they were doing.
i downloaded and watched everything before, got caught up and started watching the last season on tv.
both the copyright holder and i benefited from that situation, they got a view who would never have jumped into the show, and i got to understand the entire context of the show.

1. You COULD have went to blockbuster video and rented all the episodes from every season. Thus actually being a part of the economy. That is what real people have done for the last couple of decades.
