    Anyone from NATS around?

    Need an install done and the ticket system seems a bit flawed. The techs just keep telling me to keep the ticket updated (bumped) and eventually "someone" will take it. It's been like a month.

    I just need it installed.

      It hasn't been a month. Techs do not keep telling you to bump the ticket.

      You vanished in the middle of the conversation and Bianca informed you to reply to the ticket when you return in order for the ticket to be replied to again.

      If you communicate in a timely fashion with our staff and provide them the information they ask for the install process goes very quickly and smoothly.

          I'm not going to argue with you. She copy and pasted the install requirements which says not to put the info in the ticket. I asked if I should give it to her on ICQ. She then replied I was about ten minutes too late in getting her the info and she has moved on.

          My point is that I have to sit around on ICQ until a tech finally decides to take the install. Because if I miss them by ten minutes, we start all over again. Can I at least schedule an install so we can both meet at the same time?

              You may not want to argue, but at the same time I don't appreciate the gross misrepresentation of what happened either.

                  I have had my ICQ and email in the ticket since June 13th as requested. Nobody contacted me. I finally grabbed the techs ICQ from their profiles and started contacting them.

                  Please have a tech contact with me a date that they can install the software and everything will be fine. I don't care when it is. Just tell me the day and time and I'll be happy. Is that too much to ask?

                      We do not schedule specific install dates & times. As long as your ticket is open, meaning not in a state where we are waiting on a reply from you, someone will contact you shortly.

                                                                      I don't see how you wasted 3 months of hosting fees waiting for an install when the ticket wasn't even open anywhere near that. Once we were provided the information that we requested at the beginning of the process the install was completed very quickly.

                                                                      When it takes you 8 days to reply when we ask you what the mac address of your server is then yes, your install is not done in a couple of hours.

                                                                          months hosting payments.

                                                                          My host often took around a week to asnwer the never
                                                                          ending additional requirements you kept adding which
                                                                          was avou the same delay it took to get a session
                                                                          with NATS.

                                                                          As for the sonic weapons bit I thought you said you
                                                                          heard them in Townsville?

                                                                                  Your install ticket was opened on 5/3. You didn't even have CVS installed on the server until 5/19. You finally provided us the MAC address for your server on 5/28 and your install was completed on 5/29.

                                                                                  There are numerous instances within that time frame where we repeatedly tried to contact you with no reply. You had to be asked several times for information that was asked for at the beginning of the process.

                                                                                  If your hosting company is charging you 3 months from 5/3 to 5/29 I'd be sure to speak with them about that.

                                                                                                                      It's not hard, you read the list of requirements, and have your host online at the same time.

                                                                                                                      And in regards to tickets? If you've not replied to an open ticket, it nags you daily, to the point of annoyance.

                                                                                                                              PHP Memory size is not something you were asked for, it is just something you randomly threw into the ticket.

                                                                                                                              MAC Addresses are nearly always simply viewable when we are doing the install. For some reason your was not. Most likely due to it being some sort of virtual or shared server. I don't know for sure.

                                                                                                                              As much fun as this has been I have some things to do.
