very true indeed. just been shooting really... doing some writing... and you?

though I have a strong skills set I shoot 'artistically', not 'scientifically' as some do... and I tend to avoid shoots where I have no emotional connection with the shoot.

I don't believe that at all. I think great shots come from having experience and skills. Luck plays a very very small part in the making of a great photograph.
