Beware - Periscope Cash / Wendy4 On My Shit List!

Was just trying to find out why I get no clicks to ccbill stats for these guys and this is what I get. Nothing. Don't seem to be very serious about doing any business.

Copied below is my email correspondence with Matt Vantuch. Please be aware that my name is also Matt, so don't get confused.

    To: Lou <[email protected]>

My first instinct is saying, that people were clicking, however, they were going somewhere else.
I'm running affiliate program for over 4 years now, things happen, however, I have never had anything like this happen.
I have girls in town on photoshoots, that is why I didn't get back to you right away. I'm shooting the whole week.
Maybe if you keep our galleries down, we won't have this problem. I'm not looking for a bad rep out there.
Why not put up one pic with the right link going to our site, I'll let you know if they're actually going here.
I have clicked on your pictures, however, they're all linking back to some galleries. If someone clicks on your image, doesn't mean they go where they think they'll go. It's never ending circle.
    Thank you.
    Matt

    Matt,

This is not possible. I have checked original ccbill email and all of my links. They all match. Following is a copy of my original ccbill sign up email and a copy of one of my gallery links.

    Matt,

After no response for a couple of days I removed the galleries and banner from my sites.

When I added the galleries to my sites many of the thumbs moved up to fairly high positions on my sites. The positions are determined by how many clicks the thumb gets. Based on the number of clicks to the galleries I know I am getting clicks through to the tour, but I show no clicks in my ccbill stats. I also put a banner on one of my sites yesterday. In my ad program I know that the banner got clicks, but I still show no clicks in my ccbill stats.

Right now I am going to re-activate the thumbs for your galleries so you can see them. Check www.bikinidevil.com www.bikinipartygirls.com www.wildbikinigirls.com and www.seymorebikini.com

See what is happening with the links and get back to me right away so I can de-activate them if they are not working properly.

    Thanks,

    Matt (looky_lou)

    Hello,

    thank you for your email.

I have checked your account, It looks like you have signed up for our affiliate program on November 10th, 2010.

That is only a few days ago. From what I can see, there were no sales made at this point.

Please make sure, that you have the right code on your galleries.

I have also looked at your page and I have not seen any of our galleries or links.

If you still feel, that there is a error in your payouts, please send me links to your pages with our galleries.

    Thank you,

    Sincerely,

    Matt Vantuch

    Hi,

I signed up as an affiliate of periscopecash this week. My affiliate # is 2176050

I put up many of your FHGs and they are getting lots of clicks on my TGPs, but I am getting no recorded clicks in my CCBill stats. I am not sure how you pass affiliate info into and out of your FHGs, but I am concerned that I will get no credit for my sales.

Please let me know how your tracking works and check to see that I am being credited for my sales.

    Thanks,
    Matt (looky_lou)

I checked just now and it is at least showing your affiliate ID in the CCBill signup form:

          Code:
          input type=hidden name=ccbill_referer value='2176050'><input type=hidden name=referingURL value=''><input type=hidden name=referingDestURL value=''>
But with a blank referring url. So it APPEARS that at least if I signed up you would get the sale. I'm not sure why it wouldn't show in your stats as clicks though. I think both of you should inquire with CCBill. It might be related to how she is grabbing a username and password prior to sending the surfer to the ccbill form as well as the way the link is being encoded on her site.

I agree on the complex encoded link from the gallery. I'd rather see it be something simple where I can see my code being passed, preferably directly to ccbill.. Another thing I notice is the URL very prominently displayed. IMO affiliates have been very stupid in allowing that kind of crap to be acceptable. It only hurts your sales. You want them to click the link, not type it in and bypass your commission.

seems like something is fucked up in their (unnecessarily) encoded url where the info is in the cookie but not in the join link

                The unencoded link is this
                Code:
                http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=933011-0004&PA=2176050&html=http://www.wendy4.com&tid=12
Of course the fact that they do that sort of encoding means they can fuck with it any time they want and skim your clicks.

the downside of CCBill is a lot of program owners hire morons to create FHGs... although, I've never missed a payment
