    I just upgraded ICQ to version 7.2 but with the program there were loads of sneaky "extras" installed without any warning - toolbar, default search engine changed, IE and FF home pages etc. I uninstalled the whole thing now.
    Does anyone know a safe way to install just ICQ without all the crap that comes with it?

          when it installs there is a link that you hit that says "custom" or some shit and all that sneaky shit is behind it so just uncheck all those boxes and it installs fine without all the extras.

                                          If they could keep the russian spammers at bay, they might get a few extra years of use out of it... thats what they should work on and not fucking tweaking size of fonts.
