All my encounters with the police have been fine.

The only people who don't like the police are drug users and alcoholics who regularly drive under the influence. That makes the police cool by me. Enemy of my enemy is my friend and such.

My favorite thing is to hear an alcoholic whine about how they got a DUI while moving their car or some other nonsense. "I'd just pulled out of the driveway, how is that right? We're living in a police state!"

If the police beat the shit out of smokers on a regular basis they'd be my favorite people in the whole world.

My daughters bf's step dad is a cop. He drinks while he drives.. and he drives drunk all the time. Sooooooooooooo.. just because they arrest other people for doing the same things they are doing, doesn't make them great people.

I went to a local meeting last night for politicians. Our local sheriff had a beer in his hand the whole time, and then got up in front of us to tell us how drugs are poisoning our children. This wasn't a social event. He was the only one with a beer.

For the record, I don't drink or do drugs.. so I'm not "anti-police". I'm just saying what I see first hand with my own eyes.

Actually it was 28 days, but I didn't want to give away they used the 28 day hold without charge mental health act (Australia).
