Incredible 2nd half for USA but they should have won.

I'm still sitting here wondering what the hell the ref saw that caused him to blow his whistle so fast on that free kick. Watched the replay from every shown angle, I'll be damned if I can spot anything whistle-worthy.

Should have been a goal.

The refs have been terrible. The red card has burned two games I was enjoying. The German one today, and the red in the Australian vs Germany game, which was bullshit. The referees have really been pretty shocking.

It's unfortunate that one bad call just lost untold number of potential U.S. soccer/football fans. I saw at least 3 people turn away from the TV immediately after the call and say "fuck soccer". Yeah it's only a bad call and shit happens but...really poor timing.
