England Vs Algeria predictions?

England must win this one.

2-0 England.

They need to start turning it up a notch or they're not going to even make the quarters.

i have a feeling it will be 0-0 ..with both teams trying too hard to defend and score.

they didn't play their best against USA but only lost because of a fluke of a goal. They'll up their game today and win. 4-0 to england, and go on to win the group.

they had one of the best qualifying tournaments winning 9 of their 10 games, and although they didn't play their best against the US, they were the better team only losing to a ridiculous US goal.

Rooney could do with a goal, his campaign faded miserably with Man U due to injury, being forced back into the fray early, and a couple of niggling injuries as a result.

I'd hope for Crouch to be on from the start, he at least bangs the goals in occasionally, Heskey scores maybe half a dozen a season tops these days. Green is 3rd choice keeper for me.

At least England didn't do a "Spain choke" in their opening match. Fuck that was funny.

yeah i'd agree with all that, if rooney can get off the mark he could go on a bit of a run. lampard, gerrard and crouch all have a few goals in them. if england play to their potential and with a little luck, their capable of reaching the semi finals (and then losing on penalties).

Dilemma, do I go to bed now at 10:30pm Aussie time, or drink beer for another 6 hours...not sure my wife would appreciate the latter plan, as cunning as it may be.

Totally agree with the crouch vs heskey change. Weird that they didn't make the swap earlier in the opening game. Heskey just doesn't score that many goals and Crough would be a nighmare for most defenders

Nil-Nil at the half. Algeria looks the stronger team so far.

Is it me or is Rooney a tad overrated? I was expecting a bit more from him I suppose.

0-0 into the second half. England better get their shit together or they wont make it past the first round. English teams are always so over rated.

what a joke, not one of the algerian camel herders would get in the england squad and yet we draw with them. players like rooney, cole, lampard, gerrard and terry who could walk into any team in the world but put them all together and they play like shit.

A win in their final match will see them through.

Abysmal performance.

Rooney isn't fit, should have been pulled off at half time.

What on earth are they playing at?

Just sad to see england playing so poorly. I'm watching all the PL games there is all year and are used to seeing the players in tip top shape. They have no plan in attack and are running around like sheeps with no motivation and have no idea what to do. How the heck are they preparing for games like this when they don't even have a plan of attack?

Heskey is extremly poor and don't even dare to take a shoot. Wtf is he doing on the pitch? Why isn't a player like Crough on the pitch? He is a goal machine for England damnit!

Rooney is just terrible but my gut feeling is that he will send them through. Capello needs to get his shit together though. How can he just watch them and do nothing??

Aaaaargh, just pisses me off to see england fuck it up...

He's Italian, they always think defence first, and build on that platform. Unfortunately no building was done.

Well I tried to base it on fact/performance against USA etc....no emotion/media hype ..( of course we all know luck always plays a big part in guessing any score )

So using the same formula I will go for a 100 percent win for England ..and I think the score will be 2-0.

Reason : After the booing etc and total embarassment l think they will play with 110 percent effort and pride....and that should be enough to seal a win.

Reason : After the booing etc and total embarassment l think they will play with 110 percent effort and pride....and that should be enough to seal a win.
I'm going with your hunch Claire and have just placed a bet accordingly lol

I wouldnt have gone that far ! but I think a win for sure what are the odds for a win?

Dont bet on them winning the actual cup though even if 100/1 because I think if they get through they will step off the gas again at some point and get beat ...you saw it all revealed here first ..lol......

My picks to win the cup at the start ( well after watching some of the 1st games )

1.Germany

2.Netherlands

3 ?
