I hate Dominos too, actually I hate all the commercialized pizza joints, (pizza hut, papa johns, Rosatis, etc). All of it is garbage.

I haven't tried the new domino's but the last time I got a domino's pizza
I was so disappointed that I bought flour/cheese/tomato sauce etc...
and made a pizza from scratch and was happier.

I delivered a lot of them but yeah not my fav.
Thing is their toppings, tho the meats are somewhat commercialized, the pep and can bac were not too bad. The veg: gp, o, and black and green olives are all as fresh and good as anywhere. The cheese is real whole milk mozz and real good. (and fattening as hell)
But the crust has always been the worst around. And the sauce is also the wprst around and gives it that Dominos taste.
And always get them well. Altho sometimes I delived some well ones to people who didnt order them well.
So order a dry pep with bl and gr ol, o, gp. That would be a PRVOG code you see on the boxes.
(you say why order a pizza if it is going to be dry. lol. True. Some guys ordered them that way tho.

I always liked the extravaganza. Not a bad pie IF it had a nice quality thin crust (which is not available last I heard.. they want you to eat the cardboard stuff) or at least light sauce.
And those little beef nuggets.. noone really knows what those are. They kind of taste like beef I guess.
The sausage is also "different" and really how expensive is some cheap sausage but Dominos prepares that stuff corporately with highly paid food engineers then trucks it in. So it is cheaper than bottom barrel, fatty sausage? I guess so.
Food engineering: It's as American as apple pie.

I was at a hotel this weekend and the only place open was Dominos. Besides waiting an hour and a half to get our 4 pizzas and wings, it was pretty good - but we didn't get the traditional sauce.
I got the bbq sauce with chicken and bacon and god damn was it delicious! My lady got the white sauce with steak and onions which sucked though. The white sauce was too tart for my tastes.Your Paysite Partner

I'm spoiled by living in Chicago. We have literally the best food in the world. ESPECIALLY pizza. Never had Dominoes in my life - there's ~ 20 different mom & pop pizza shops around here with *the best* pizza I've ever had.Comment

I had the new pizza twice (had to try it 6 months later to make sure) and I agree it's garbage. They just smother the crust with what they put on the breadsticks. The sauce and cheese I felt was a step down to be honest.
Before I thought it tasted like cardboard, but now I really can't eat it. TBH kinda feeling a little sick just thinking about it.
In Canada Dominos makes a "donair" style pizza which was different. I didn't get it with meat on it so I probably missed out on alot of the proper flavor. It wasn't bad, but I don't know if I would try it again.
These are good. They are a little greasy for me, but I kind of like how they taste a little burned.

The last product was so bad that they had to do commercials to say 'we sucked, we know, but this will be better'. That's some grade "A" strategizing to make up for a lack of, er, feasible product.Comment

All pizza is local. If your local shop sucks, try someone else.
I like plain pizza. It's dough, it's pizza sauce, it's mozzerella.
Every Pizza Hut pizza I've tried in this area is in need of about 20 paper towels to soak up the sick orange grease laying on top. It's truly disgusting to behold.
Papa Johns is approximately the same. It has a better crust because, unlike pizza hut, they seem to form it fresh when you order.
Dominoes was always the better of the three for me. Nice crust, good sauce, decent cheese. No excess grease. Pretty simple formula. They had a guy there for like 15 years running the little hole in the wall location. 99% deliveries, no need to make it pretty. That one dude was the key to why it was good pizza.
So hold a pizza taste off with some friends. Travel to your local shops, eat some pizza, drink a beer, video blog it and post the link.43-922-863 Shut up and play your guitar.
