Kosher butchering is not only their way of doing it, but its also one of the most humane ways of killing animals for food, another thing that makes Judaism more progressive than most religions IMO.

New Zealand needs to pull their head out.

Its a fact kosher preparation of meat is not only more humane but the meat actually tastes better. Why? Because the animals do not die in fear. In the typical butchering practice animals are basically tortured until death, thus sending loads of adrenalin coursing thru their bodies which works its way into the meat you eat.

With kosher they do not die in fear, they are much more relaxed and so the meat tastes better.

When ever i bought hot dogs i always bought hebrew national...way better than any other for this reason.

yeah its backward following what some book says rather than thinking for yourself. why don't they eat pork for example if its not because they're told not to by their religion? its not for any health reasons, maybe it was thousands of years ago but not now.
