What happens when you're done riding? do you have to walk around with it on?
And what is the advantage over cargo pants?
Are we witnessing the birth of the new Fanny-Pack?
I ride a sport bike. IMO I think its pretty ugly. Plus if you went down while wearing this it would cause you to flip, defeating the purpose of leather pants / suit helping you slide. (Thats why motorcycle leathers are so tight).
But I ride aggressive and fast. Been down once , going 60+ mph, hit a dog and I really feel my leathers and sliding on them saved my life and skin.
what exactly does a biker out for a ride need apart from a phone and some cash... that's all i've ever needed and i'm pretty sure my pocket is big enough... way to gay

are you not aware that when used with a derisive attitude (e.g. "that bag is gay"), the word gay is pejorative and has nothing to do with sexuality?
I am aware lolol. You clearly have a hard time with sarcasme... I was referring to some people claiming in this thread that they would not wear this as they are straight.

Why not? Most bikers I see these days are full blown idiots anyway, riding in board shorts, no shirt, no helmet.... doubt a leg-fanny pack could make them look any more stupid.

should all bikers/motorized 2 wheelers go full ATGATT? even if popping down to the corner market?
how do riders in sf get away with riding without a helmet?

for some reason i thought amp live in san francisco.
He has that as his location but he said he lived somewhere that was over 100 degrees. Knowing it could not be SF, I asked about it and he said he did not live there, in the area. Whatever that means.
It has been a law in CA since 1992. I can assure you, he lives no where in CA that has a bunch of bikers running around without helmets.

thank you. it was sound advice, you should take it instead of stereotyping all americans as homoPHobic.

I pretty much stopped riding for a year to give the biker rights groups time to do their thing. Since they did nothing, I started riding again, without a helmet, with the intent of being cited. It took four months, but eventually Torrance PD took the bait (during a slowdown at that).
Went to court, defended self and was convicted. Took it to the appellate level, defended self, and had lower court ruling overturned. Unfortunately, my case did not really involve the legality of the law, so did not help much, but did ensure I only pay $10 in the future.

pretty cool.
when was that? if i remember correctly there was some sort of technicality back in the early 90s re: pulling over motorcyclists for helmet infractions but i can't recall the details. maybe we were fooling ourselves but we did get away with riding with brain buckets. these days, i figure if i have to wear a helmet, it might as well be dot.

It was on my son's birthday that I was cited, so that would be 4/93. I seem to recall the entire process took about a year.
The technicality still exists. The vehicle code section the law is under makes it a fix it ticket. But you would have to go to court and do a proper cross-examination of the cop to take that route. I suspect that CHP are hep to it, but a city cop, not likely.
