Is that ADSL or something else?

My ADSL syncs at 8Mbps, but it's software limited to 3Mbps, and the exchange is so congested that at times the effective bw is more like 0.3Mbps... LOL <-- not sure why I'm laughing really

I don't know what the name of the plan is, but when I called Verizon just last week to get my land line taken off the plan and get more TV channels, the woman offered me the TV + 35/35 DSL for $115/month, which I jumped at. The last time I ran the speed test, right after the DSL was installed, the upload speed was actually faster than the download.
