A Los Angeles police SWAT team has surrounded a home in the Chatsworth area where they believe the suspect in Tuesday's samurai sword rampage at a Van Nuys porn studio is holed up, armed with a sword.

Suspect Stephen Clancy Hill, 34, is believed to be alone inside a house in the 8000 block of Azul Drive.

"We have an individual who is refusing to surrender," said Sgt. Humberto Najera of LAPD's Topanga Division. "We're trying to take him into custody."

Officers have been at the location since about 9:30 this morning. Hill, who went by the stage name "Steve Driver," is wanted on one count of murder and five counts of attempted murder for the sword attack at Ultima DVD in Van Nuys Tuesday night.

Officials said Hill was about to be fired from his job and evicted from living at the studio when he began attacking a fellow employee and several others who tried to intervene. Herbert Wong, 30, of Van Nuys, a fellow actor and the company's webmaster, died in the attack.

I read that and I'm thinking :

Wow, he was doing porn for the company and living in the studio.

Unless living in this studio was way better than an apartment; this guy was on the
edge.

Considering the closing of some programs lately, "firing him" might be a "strong word"

Horrible! Sad that he killed some one and sad that he died. I could not imagine how he must have felt for those few days knowing that he took another mans life and that you will pay for it via jail, or death by cops.

Sitting on a hillside with a sword isn't exactly conducive to a long life. I would have to think that this guy had to be some what remorseful after the fact. And sitting on a hillside for days contemplating suicide must be the very worst feeling and moments up to it must have been even worse.

Im not condoning what he did, just feel sad for who he hurt and thats including his family and the families of who he hurt.
