You do have a good point, about the F-150 and such getting about the same fuel efficiency. However, usually trucks are used for actual work, while Hummers are pretty much used as a status symbol.

I'm not an American and I drive a H2 Hummer. I get 10 mpg and I love the thing! It's actually my second the first one saved my life when I got hit by a jacked up F350. I do live a mildly over indulgent lifestyle, because that's what life is all about. Work hard and play harder.

The funny thing about the hummer is that it's sort of a chick car now. There are a few in my part of the city and they are almost all driven by soccer Moms. The thing is just a glorified minivan.

i feel fairly confidant in saying that if you drive a vehicle (which you dont NEED for work) that gets that kinda mileage, you really dont care about your country as much as you do about your image.

Just to clarify:

This happened on St. Catherine and Cresent street, right near all the clubs. He was driving alone blasting hip-hop, and seat-dancing to it. He wasn't hanging out the window ogling girls or anything but I'd say he definitely wanted to be noticed. The girl (and her friends) seemed casually dressed (jeans and high heels). The girl who yelled out wore a black Jack Daniels top. Judging by their appearance I wouldn't classify them as tree huggers but just "regular" girls. They spoke english but at least one of the group also spoke french so I'm guessing they were from Montreal.

A friend of mine put a sticker on my exhaust pipe that said "suck on this hippie" I didn't leave it on but I did have a good laugh :P
