As a Republican, I'm proud to say I don't really give a damn about the environment or the people in the Gulf. As long as this disaster doesn't lead to increased fuel costs for me or a effect my bottom line I could really care less. I care about two things as a Republican, my image and my wallet. So long as neither of those are affected by this minor spill I could care less, I don't live in Louisiana.

its ridiculous to blame the government for this disaster. BP & Transocean drilled the fucking hole.

suggesting the government has blame shows how people think the government is responsible for every wrong in the world, & is responsible for solving all the worlds problems.

Get a clue. The true rulers are the illuminati, wall street bankers, & secret elements of the military industrial complex. They are to blame.

proper safety gear that was a direct consequence of deregulation?

i understand the desire to be fair, but the bush admin is responsible for the deregulation

It's still not a good comparison though. In 9/11 there were numerous systems that should have prevented it, and every single one of them failed. Most importantly, the gov's own intel. (assuming you believe it was really just a couple of grade school terrorists that pulled it off).

And of course only 8 months into his first term, it was all Bush and his admin that set every one of those systems up. You blame Bush for airport security policy 8 months into his term while letting Obama slide 14 months into his for oil policy? Or if you want to compare apples to apples, how about that asshole that got onto a plane with a bomb recently? Is that Obama's fault or Bush's fault? Be consistent.

To address another question brought up (not by you), the Palin vs. Obama question is flawed because she was a large reason for McCain losing to begin with...not that he had much of a chance given his senility and Obama's massive fundraising/momentum build, but when the choice is Obama for 4 years or McCain for potentially only months and "hockey mom" taking over afterwards...I mean I'm a centrist generally (aka hate all sides equally, lol) but probably lean slightly republican between rep/dem and I'd even take Hillary over Palin. Republicans are going to find themselves with a "Kerry" situation going in 2012 if Palin's still the only one making any significant noise...so many people will be against Obama but the other major candidate will suck so he'll win anyways.

He's just mad Obama is fucking up more in 2 years than Bush could have in 8...Very nearly as much rather.

That's TSA's fault. TSA was created by the Bush Admin after 9/11. So any bombs on planes today are a direct result of Bush's failed policies and the inept TSA.

As far as Obama "sliding" 14 months... it's not his oil policy, it's Bush's. And he's kind of been dealing with a lot of shit these last 14 months don't you think? Like fixing the financial collapse that G.W. put us in.

Since we're playing the blame game, don't environmentalists share in the blame by pushing exploration and oil extraction to areas that are inaccessible/hard to do remedial actions yet impacts large populated sections (ie., offshore?) Compare if there's a disaster at ANWR versus the BP oil rig disaster...

Just asking :)

fatfoo 06-03-2010 11:25 PM

I don't know where to place the blame.

NetHorse 06-03-2010 11:44 PM

Faggot liberals, lets blame Bush for everything..

Why don't we blame Obama. What if I said Obama was behind this entire disaster to push his own agenda? What if his horrible response to this crisis is intentional?

Obama uses oil spill to push Climate Change Agenda

Yes, messiah, push for cap and trade..

What is astounding to me is that there are still people that believe some drunken "terrorists" pulled it all off.
