I don't think this is specific to GFY, as it seems like people have just gotten a lot less nice on all internet forums. I don't know if this is because forums are going the way of the hula hoop or just a general human reaction to a down economy or an alienating internet.

I agree more and more people are being less nice online these days. But one thing remains constant, Scott wasn't nice 8 years ago and he still isn't nice now. You feeling sorry for him is like feeling sorry that a drunk driver got caught and arrested because you are friends with him.

exactly. I doubt he had many friends even back then. He had three types of people who flocked to him:

1. Attention whores
2. People looking for traffic
3. Moochers

The attention whores wanted to be cool and go to his parties and they wanted to be blown on ambush interviews.

The people looking for traffic blew him to get traffic from his site (back when it had traffic worth having).

The moochers were just looking for free handouts.

Since he has none of that any more, all of his "friends" have dropped him like a 500 pound weight. The only people defending him now are sympathetic girls. lol.

I still feel sorry for Scott. A perfect example of people not giving a fuck about him is when none of his "friends" sat him down and told him how much yes signals sucked. Instead they just blew him off and told him what he wanted to hear because that was fast and easy thing to do " hey that looks great"... bye.

I've tried to help him, even know feel sorry for him even though he took every chance he had to shit on me over the years and he doesn't know shit about me. His problem is his over inflated ego. He just wont accept that he is a has been (or really never was). If he could come to terms with it, be nice to people, leave the drama alone, take advice and work hard he could possibly amount to something.

I have never met him person and I am not a "bro" but Sleazydream has never treated me badly online...In fact, he has always been one of my supporters....I've never received one hit of traffic from him nor made one dollar due to his direct or indirect influence.

1. the pity party people: people like you and the chicks in this thread that defend Scott and think other people are soooo meanie weenie to him. They didn't have shit to say to the hundreds of people Scott was mean too, but since they "know" Scot they think it is meanie weenie to say not nice things to him.

2. the truth hurts people: (where I fit in) I am telling it like it is. If the truth hurts then he needs to change his ways. I am actually being a lot more helpfull than the pity party people. The pity party just enables him and keeps inflating his ego and making him think HE is doing nothing wrong. The people who say it like it is are really helping him, if he wasn't so fucking pigheaded to listen to them and straighten himself up. Unlike the drive by pity posting people I've actually spent a couple hours trying to help Scot, but apparently he can't handle the truth, living in lala land of cock sucking bros and being a big shot is where he wants to be, pretend world, instead of realizing his new reality and dealing with it.

3. The bandwagon bashers, the people who really just jumping in to kick him while he is down. And to answer your question, no they are not as bad as him.
