Crystal Bowersox would make a good Janice Joplin impersonator. She just needs to slow herself down a little more and whale a little harder, and she would nail it. Most of this years picks sound more like lounge singers than actual stars. I don't watch the show as I think its just a popularity contest because some years who ever won wasn't the top star. I do hear it from the den as the kids watch it.

that being said, i LOVE the show. it's great entertainment watching these kids get up there and sing&dance in front of millions of people<----that's reality.

the show was almost impossible to watch last nite. even my dark horse fav siobhan was hard to watch and even harder to listen to. they should just go ahead and vote off 7 or 8 of the contestants. and even so, crystal will self-destruct with all the baggage she carries around and brings on stage. maybe not on ai but at some point in the future.

The talent is slipping for sure but what really gets me is the Judges ( Kara and Simon ).

It's idiotic for some judges to see a performance as really good while another sees it as really bad. They also constantly contradict themselves. Kara constantly talks about how a song has a story and they don't sing it with the emotion meant in the song. How there's no connection to the song. Last night Didi comes out and really tries hard to emote her song and then she gets bashed for it. WTF!

They also constantly criticize them for song choice. Either pick the songs for them or STFU! It's not about song choice it's about how well they sang it.

They also go on about how they didn't make the song their own and then criticize someone for changing up a song that was perfectly fine sung as it is.

If I was a contestant I would be very frustrated with what the judges are saying and while I'm on the contestants I'll say that I hate when they say they don't care if it sucked, I just wanted to have fun. It's not about having fun it's about doing whatever you have to do to win the competition. The fun comes later.

She has the most talent of them all but she wont win, the most talented rarely do. Just look at last year as recent proof. The people who actually VOTE are the little screaming girls you hear at the live shows. My money is on one of the little homo looking boys or Siobhan to win but Crystal should make the finals and her record will be 10 times better.

I forgot about that but definitely should've been in my rant. Add to that the fact you watch one singer and then comes twenty commercials before another singer and another twenty commercials and we've just about got it covered

If I had to sum up this season I'd say it in one word, annoying.

The only thing keeping me interested is watching Crystal and Siobhan evolve and seeing how much farther they can go.

I've got a DVR but recording in HD fills the thing up fast

Some shows I've been saving and some I haven't had a chance to watch yet. It stays around 92% full most of the time. Record and fast forward thru the commercials is definitely the way to go.
