Netbilling how does it feel to have your company......

linked to CP in the adult press and soon to be mainstream press?

CCBILL take note, shut them down now. You have thousands of clients who aren't involved in this shit and don't deserve to be associated with this shit.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

All the processors, hosts, registrars have to do is show that they took action once notified... it won't make it to court for them if they.

the absolute last thing i'd ever want my name to even be associated with is CP - once the mainstream press digs a little they'll see what the adult industry has been hiding and what it knew and when they knew it. going to jail isn't the only concern, monetary damages isn't the only concern.

depending on how you read the article, it seemed that they are being taken to court for not taking stuff down. the article mentions the SeeMyGF.com removed he photos and was not prosecuted.

maybe more people should start sending DMCAs to the billers, that way they will kill their crap clients to avoid prosecution.

VISA and ISP's and companies like MS have been accused of being associated with CP... It's only a problem for those that actually did it.

If you're shown what you think is a valid id/release, you wouldn't take it down either. No way the hosts/processors, etc could be held responsible for checking that everything is legal.

the processors read GFY and all the other boards where these sites and what's on them have been discussed for years now. they don't operate or own ex-gf sites with non compliant 2257 content with models of unknown and dubious age but to make an analogy, it's like selling your services that you know would aid and abet terrorists or Nazi's or whatever bad guys. There's an ethical thing here - just because you can doesn't mean you should. Processors can take a look at a site and say 'no thanks, find another processor'.

why is Netbilling being singled out here ? there are 2 other billing companies mentioned as well

"The suit also targets SickBucks.com, which operates KinkyGFS.com, and processor Jettis and its 365Billing.com unit, as well as NetBilling, calling the companies as "revenue program defendants" so that the plaintiff can seek complete injunctive relief. It also names Moniker Privacy Services and Whois Privacy Protection."

I agree with ya that it's f'ed up... if anything it's going to give them some strong power about enforcing 2257 alllll the way down the chain.

Btw, CCBill and Epoch have asked for ID's before... but we can't expect them to keep up with everyone or every update.
