Have you seen the movie 9 Songs? It's the most graphic non-porno I've ever seen. Actual, real sex. It's basically an indie movie/porno with cool live music interludes.

I like Original Sin as well. Alot of people shit on it but not every movie has to be fine cinema. Its got all the great aspects of a good pulp story set in turn of the century Cuba. Jolie, Banderas, What's not to enjoy.

I know its not the flick you're thinking of, but sex in the staircase makes me think of the sex scene in History of Violence. When that came out I heard a few people talk about how much they dug the sex scenes in it. I dunno what it is, but I can never dig the sex scenes in Croninburg (sp?) movies. Its not really the rough sex, its that he takes sort of a shock and awe approach and in the end they lack intimacy and feel more like rape.
