If Gawker's recent email exchange with Steve Jobs is to be believed, Apple's CEO wants iPad and the App Store to deliver "freedom from porn".

By contrast, adult site YouPorn sees iPad as an excellent opportunity to deliver, well, free porn.

The company has launched an iPad-optimised version of its site, and is converting its catalog of videos into HTML5 so they can be watched on Apple's Flash-free tablet.

"Welcome to our iPad site," says a message on the new site, according to NewTeeVee. "We are now re-encoding our video archive to make all our videos iPad compatible. Please send us feedback."

Adult apps have been purged from the App Store, but it's clear that the adult entertainment industry still sees a big opportunity in Apple's iDevices.
